HP also good. My 8 year old Passion having petrol from only 1 pump ( of HP ) & untill now no problem in it. But in ZMR i am filling from another pump outside city , will stop it & fill from that trusted HP pump .Originally posted by dhiraj View PostExactly.... i have replaced piston pin, rocket arm, camshaft... as per SVC he said they all got damaged because of fuel adulteration..now i am searching for good fuel station, shell petrol known to be good petrol but there fuel stations are very rare... and no Shell fuel station in mumbai and on NH 3
In touring as soon as fuel bar is going low we feel petrol from nearby pump & we don't know about its petrol qualityOriginally posted by psr View PostYes that is the bottom line...even the good petrol bunks are dependent on good Tanker Service...Hopefully no adulteration takes place on the way......
The people most hit by fuel adulteration are the tourers
You want to make it advance by means of speed , power , acceleration ? or anyother ?Originally posted by Arshad View Posthey everyone
i bought my zmr two years back. i love my bike and am planning to mod it. my friend said that it is possible to import fuel injectors from japan for zmr.
Any suggestions.....?
Yes ZMR is nice , xBhp is nice , Peoples here are nice . But for what you saying nice oneOriginally posted by Arshad View Postnice one...
First of all check the battery . It would great to have its serviceing done before riding .Originally posted by Sarath_ View PostHi everyone,
I will start straight with my query. My ZMRs been sitting idle for the past 6 months. I have decided to bring it to working condition once again. I started it last week once and it did with no problems. The fuel and tyre pressure are normal. I want to know, what should I expect to happen to a bike thats been idle for so long?
I am considering giving it straight for servicing before attempting to bring it to general use.
I also am worried and am sure that many parts have rusted. My friends R15 with a similar fate had its chain and disks replaced due to rusting. Disks, rusting, not sure, but yes, he had them replaced.
Also my bikes Insurance policy lapsed around 4-6months back. Considering ICICI Lombard again. Any suggestions?
Since tomorrow's a weekend, I am planning on doing all I can in the two days and revive it. What do you guys reckon I should do?
Based in Bangalore. Bought in March, 2010.
P.S. The Bike is cleaned every 3 days so its spic and span to look at. So I cant be entirely charged for "Criminal Negligence of a Beloved"

BTW why the big 6 month brake ?
Replies in Normal .Originally posted by vvijkumar View PostYes he was senior most technician having 12 yrs of experience(according to him) and got training to work on ZMR from hero and he fixed the sealing with all new gaskets and silicone sealant.Being on safe side,I started the run in period once again!!
Good that you started run in period.
I said exactly same when i saw it that they stolen entire cowl not just sticker then the service center manager checked the cowl and came to conclusion that the sticker was washed off when bike was being water washed and the people washing the bike removed entire sticker to hide their fault. So he had cleaned the remaining glue left on cowl,Polished the the cowl and made it look like there was no sticker at all.He promised me(in written) that he would provide a new sticker and fix the way it came with my bike,In case he is unable to find the new sticker he agreed to change the entire cowl.
Instead of sticker try to get whole cowl . If you can .

Could u share some pics of this??Originally posted by Shreeni0403 View PostI guess it will be the same with all tyres of that size but not sure. With solo riding I ve never any issue till date. Its a straight fit. In terms of performance, you will feel the acceleration is reduced negligibly as the tyre profile is more.
+ 1
ZMR doesn't really need a higher capacity battery as the stock 6aH is more than sufficient to take care of all your needs. I am using a dual tube HID (35 X 2 = 70w HID) and never faced any issues till date (touchwood). Its alternator is powerful enough!!

First and most important thing to do is, If you have old petrol in Tank, Drain it ASAP and fill 500 ml and slosh it around for 5 minutes, by holding front brake and try to move it forward and back..then drain this petrol also and fill with fresh petrol....Petrol after 20 -30 days start deteriorating and forms a Varnish like coating...this can spoil your injector ,valves and piston rings.Originally posted by Sarath_ View PostHi everyone,

Change your engine oil also with a JASO MA2 oil
Both the works best done with SVC,....but make sure you get it done...When Was The Last Time,You Did Something For The First Time.

Please don't go OT and start bike wars here.Originally posted by fast_ferocious View PostIn city yes, ZMA/ZMR has more low end torque so you might have felt the difference in pickup. But R15 has a better top end torque that you can feel after crossing 6K rpm.

I found the stock seat a bit too soft for long rides.
Out of 17800 kms on odometer, 16000 kms done on long rides .... my butt get start soaring when i ride continuously more than 1.5 or 2 hrs....so i dont think any need for any type of modification in seat, but will be welcome if the modification gives you comfort for continuous ride more than 2 hrs..
Replace the words "I have to" with "I choose to" and notice the difference in how you feel.
