Finally found the culprit:The neutral patti(as per the service guy)
the Neutral sensor,The right one is defective and the left one is new!
OMG to fix the neutral light problem hole engine needs opened
I hope the technician is good & refitted everything perfect. But now is your running in started again for some 500 kms ? As the engine is newly assembled

If any sticker is removed then its sticky ness is not remain good , so it will of no use. I think instead of Karizma sticker they have stolen you whole cowl. Get a new cowl from them , not just a sticker .

Although i feel the refinement is still a problem in my ZMR...but not as much as it was earlier...

fuel adulteration is petrol pump mixes some other oil into a petrol...result in malfunction in bikes/car...
So fuel adulteration is like bad mixed petrol . I seen a man using filter paper above petrol tank lid of his wagonr at the time of petrol filling & thrown some particles comes from petrol pump petrol with the paper when filling is complete. Is that gonna help with the above problem ?

psr sir any info on above ?

5 Ah would not gonna serve the purpose . We need 6Ah or above.

ZMR case is small can't fit bigger battery without cage modification.

Yes battery is sufficient. Alternator is good. But only around 5k rpm.
As i am using 55/60W halogen with 38 smd led parking bulbs , in city at night when speed is low around 3k rpm & taking turn ( Headlight , Parking light , Breaklight , Indicator all are on ) the horns are like weak. but when around 5k rpm there is no problem.

With those broken mirror clips , i think the bike got damaged some fairing parts maybe because of accident & instead to get new parts , the owner has covered it with radium graphics.

Where are the small rear view mirrors ? I think those which are seen are of the bikes parked near it .

There are two types of problems with Neutral indicator..One is the neutral connection Stub ,and the neutral contact plate...If it is the first one it is a simple fix to change it,while the later is a plate mounted on the Gear Shifter Drum and so whole engine needs to be opened...but this does not warrant a new run in as major engine parts are not changed.

Bad fuel is a slow poison...depending on the type of adulteration the poisoning effect takes time...The Filter paper can filter Physical impurities only...It is the Dissolved impurities which are the most dangerous ones.....
The effect can be anything from a seized bore, sticky valve train, sticky carb slide, hot engine, plug failure to heavy carbon formation in the combustion chamber, leading to pre-ignition and hole in Piston.
Common adulteration in petrol is Diesel ,Kerosene, old stored petrol, old recycled engine oil in small quantity, and less costly hydrocarbons.

              • So the good solution to fuel adulteration is to fill petrol from a good reputed petrol pump. And bad thing is its difficult to find such pump & if it is found then its depends on fuel it get from tankers.

Exactly.... i have replaced piston pin, rocket arm, camshaft... as per SVC he said they all got damaged because of fuel adulteration..now i am searching for good fuel station, shell petrol known to be good petrol but there fuel stations are very rare... and no Shell fuel station in mumbai and on NH 3

Yes that is the bottom line...even the good petrol bunks are dependent on good Tanker Service...Hopefully no adulteration takes place on the way......
The people most hit by fuel adulteration are the tourers

                              • Hi everyone,
I will start straight with my query. My ZMRs been sitting idle for the past 6 months. I have decided to bring it to working condition once again. I started it last week once and it did with no problems. The fuel and tyre pressure are normal. I want to know, what should I expect to happen to a bike thats been idle for so long?

I am considering giving it straight for servicing before attempting to bring it to general use.

I also am worried and am sure that many parts have rusted. My friends R15 with a similar fate had its chain and disks replaced due to rusting. Disks, rusting, not sure, but yes, he had them replaced.

Also my bikes Insurance policy lapsed around 4-6months back. Considering ICICI Lombard again. Any suggestions?

Since tomorrow's a weekend, I am planning on doing all I can in the two days and revive it. What do you guys reckon I should do?

Based in Bangalore. Bought in March, 2010.

P.S. The Bike is cleaned every 3 days so its spic and span to look at. So I cant be entirely charged for "Criminal Negligence of a Beloved"
