Its a tube type tire bro. I'm using it with a tube, but people say it can be used without one.

Me Me Me.. I am using the Zapper Q as a Tubeless tire as suggested by one of the members here.. The tire is far better than the Michelin Sirac Street

Doctors deemed me unwell yesterday and blessed me with 2 days bed rest. Hence, carefully ensuring I do not take much stress I started tinkering with my bike.

I was facing the irritating FI light issue for over a month now. Also, the 160 km ride last week wasn't enough to keep the battery charged. The console would reset every time I started the bike. So, my checklist had a few immediate solutions.

            1. New battery. I bought the stock 7 AH battery. My bike came with 7 AH as OE.
            2. Unplug all wires and fuses and clean the compartment inside.

ODO reading as of now - 44461 kms. So, the stock battery lasted almost 44.5k kms. That's good by any standard IMO.

Unplugged the angel eyes as I feel they reduced the battery life by a good 5-6k kms.
Cleaned all fuses with a rag dipped in petrol and dried them in shade.

Bought the new battery for 1600 rupees and got 150 for exchanging the old one. Damage = 1450 rupees.

New battery comes with a 3 year warranty.

New and old battery side by side. Took a 2 km test ride after fitting all electricals and the bike starts immediately. The FI light issue is gone! Yippieeeeee!!!

Got my baby a quick wash.

The FI light may have different color but ask your friend with the 6 month old Duke to get it checked. FI light is like check engine light in cars. If it glows constantly, there's some issue.

And yes, a weak battery triggers the FI light on the ZMR.

I have completed some 6000 Odd kms with the tires.. using it as a Tubeless. the tire is pretty good and i would say its a good cruising tire.. I have tried it on wet roads as well.. compared with the Sirac Street, I felt this one is way better and grippy.. been trying to drag my knee as much as possible without the knee guards (just practicing after a long time) and once I get the confidence, I will use the Knee guards and try the Knee drag

The FI light glows constantly in the following scenarios AFAIK:
                  1. When there is a Engine Problem.
                  2. When the FI isn't responding
                  3. When the side angle sensor is not connected/not connected properly or it is at fault

(I remember it used to blink when the angle sensor was not connected properly and I feel it will blink and not light up constantly)

The FI light will glow for a couple of seconds and turn off in the following scenarios AFAIK:
                  1. When the battery is low (not completely dead) and when you try to crank the engine, the battery drains which resets the ignition and hence the light glows back and turns off.. exactly the same way when you turn on the ignition.
                  2. when the battery is completely dead and you try to crank the engine, the entire display goes off and comes back. this repeats whenever you try to crank the engine.

the difference between points 1 and 2 above is, in point 1, only the FI light glows and turns off in a couple of seconds & in point 2, the entire assembly resets including the time and trip meters..

and glad to see that your bike is back to Normal I will be celebrating the 4th birthday for my bike on Monday gonna wash her myself on Saturday/Sunday and give a nice polish.. the tank is already half full and she completed 32505 kms till today

With the bike not cranked on, but switched ON by key; if I drag the bike by pushing or walking along, doesn't the ODO increase? I saw something of this sort. The ODO started working ONLY after the bike was cranked again.

Yes. The speedo moved. Sadly, I didn't see the trip meter (since it includes decimals too). Rather I saw the ODO, but I did push it enough to change. Check it out and let me know.

Dude.. you will have to push the bike for a minimum 500 m if you want the odo to change as it changes only after every 1 km.. and 1 km is pretty loooooooooong

do it with the Trip meter

Edit: I remember, the odo will change with the ignition ON and when the engine is not cranked.

Source- I remember when i pushed my bike for 6 kms when I ran out of fuel back in 2010 thats how I know the distance of the petrol pump from where the bike stopped

                              LOLWA! I know that dood.
I meant to say I pushed for >1 km because after fitting the new battery I saw the ODO move in the same distance. I'd say try experimenting the same/similar scenario somehow.
