He wants to try something different than the stock MRF Zapper-Y, something more grippier. Could you plz suggest any brands and shops in Bangalore?
There are around 35-40 tyre shops around JC road area alone. High chances you finding a replacement. or you can visit the tyre shop which is closest to you.

Any other tyre than the stock tyre is good On a serious note: You can try the Zapper Q or if you are willing to shell out some bucks, then M45.

Are Michelin M45 still available in the market?? The Zapper Q isn't a TL tire.

If you are fine with a Tube type and not the Tubeless, then your friend can close his eyes and go for the Zapper Q. I am using it as a Tube Less and I have completed 6000+ kms with it.. it is pretty grippy on wet roads too. good cruising tire if you ask me. the problem would be using it as a Tubeless.. even @Divya Sharan is using the Zapper Q, but he uses a Tube along with it other than that, the Pirelli Sports Demon.. a bit on higher side, but the tire is grippy on dry tarmac. Divya will be able to provide you with better review. The tire is on the soft side, so it is puncture prone

Yes, select shops have them (I heard, but couldn't find when I needed the same). Moreover, M45 is also a strictly TT tire.

If you are fine with a Tube type and not the Tubeless, then your friend can close his eyes and go for the Zapper Q. The main problem with PSD is its greatest strength. That grip! Now, to get the leech like grip, they used a soft compound. And it is very puncture prone.
Usual life of PSDs - 10-12k kms after which they start slipping in gravel/sand like conditions. Wet performance deteriorates post 8-10k kms and it behaves like a stock tire.

supreeth I think it was worth the labour, effort & attention to detail. At present can't tell its VFMness, will definitely update as time goes. sounakray it is on the airport road near the Phoenix Market City. After you cross Phoenix take the first left turn (signal) at the Maruti showroom. Keep eye on the right side you will see 3M car care adjacent to Honda showroom. AmoghDox Never went to warpmeup but have seen their magical work, must say they are just amazing! IIRC cost of the 3M process was close to 2k (including tax). Divya Sharan true that! rode the ZMR for about a 100km & filled the tank, got approximately 43kmpl. The fuel efficiency displayed on the console is just absurd, Sometimes it beats the Splendor rreneav1987 congrats, eagerly waiting for your long term ownership review. Have some pictures to upload but the W8 phone isn't in mood, help

I'd disagree here. It only shows the Real Time Mileage (last 10 sec or so) and not the average. That's why it is called RTMI.
Ride at similar speeds for long periods of time and you'd get close to real average figures on the RTMI too.

Obviously, I've seen 196 kmpl as well as 3 kmpl, but they went away within seconds.
P.P.S - Never think a Karizma can't actually challenge the Splendor. Ask ravi@17bhp.

Agreed, but it becomes difficult to guess the average fuel efficiency with this real time/instantaneous efficiency set up.

Tel him to try the PSD. Yes it is soft compound but i had only one puncture and am using it for about 6-7k kms. Grip is excellent and is priced a bit high. Availability is a headache. There was a shop near lalbhagh and am not able to recall it's name. Else just visit the MRF guys and pick up the one which Divya Sharan uses. Pretty VFM.

OT: If you're getting a helmet worth 5-6k get SOL! Don't get ls2. There are a lot of fake ls2 helmets in the market. Also check out MT Helmets by the same Spartan pro gear. They are both DoT and ECE certified and the prices start from 3.2k

Just curious, which helmet did you sell off??
