Yes, the new lot/models should arrive by the weekend in the showroom for public display. These are initial TRs (not usually meant for aam aadmi), but a lottery system pick. General public would be getting TRs in a few weeks.

To put it up on floor, it just took us 10 minutes max the first time itself.. So it is pretty simple to open up as well..

Its a little bigger than the Queen Size bed.. which means, 2 people can easily fit inside it and keep luggage inside..

MRP mentioned on the price tag is Rs. 2999/-

We got it for a pretty good deal of just 1800/- we order 2 pieces and got them for 3598/- from Snap Deal.. We were lucky to get it at that price as the next day the price increased to 2195/-

      It is worth the price

By the way.. I finally got a chance to clean the spark plugs..

Yes.. could it be the reason to the acceleration issue I was talking about?? how to fix it as I don't find a way to tune the AFR ratio as in a carb engine.

The FE seems to have dropped a bit as well..

If the Tappet clearance was adjusted recently, check for proper gapping...less clearance may give noise less performance, but lead to more Valve overlap and AFR running lean...otherwise get the fuel filters and Injector cleaned...

What is the idle gaping needed on Karizma/ZMR... I will get all this done on the upcoming service.. I have to sit with these guys else they will mess up things

Your engine is running super lean. I haven't seen in my life any engine running so lean.

Nothing to worry as yours is a FI engine, so clean the injectors and fuel filter. The lean mixture will correct itself. The lean mixture is caused by injectors getting blocked.

                          Hello All !!
Hope all fellow Riders are doing well..
Was away from Xbhp for quite loooong time. I see i will have to catch up a lot..
Was actually busy with my final year exams and Project internship.

Today while returning from college saw the new 2014 Karizma/ZMR being displayed at Bhagath Motors, K.R.Puram.
And took a test ride of the ZMR and was verrrrrryyy impressed by the EBR tuned engine.

MY VIEWS after the ride -
Engine now is smoother than the old ZMR.
Vibes have been very well taken care of .
Rear tires are Mrf 120 profile.
Pilot lamps are operated as old one ( NO DRL),
Rear tyre hugger like the one in R15 V2 was missing, dealer says may come as an accessory.
The rear of the bike dosnt go well with the over all looks of the bike.

I will get the Injectors, Fuel Filters and Air Filters checked hopefully this coming Saturday or Sunday in case I don't have any plans.. otherwise by Thursday I will get it done..

Do I have to change the spark plug or can I continue with this and munch few more tar??

I have been using Michelin Sirac Street up front and the tire is pretty decent from day 1.. I have completed almost 15000 kms on them and they will last for another 4000 kms.. They are Tube Type, however every dealer I went to said Michelin Tires have strong side walls which allows us to use them as Tubeless..

I was using Michelin Sirac Street in the rear as well.. however the confidence on wet conditions was simply down.. Fish tails like anything.. later on after discussions with many, I decided to change to MRF Zapper Q.. again, not tubeless however, people i know asked me to choose the tire with flat side walls as they are strong enough to be used as Tubeless.. I am using them as TL for the last 5000 kms and the tire is pretty decent with good grip in dry and wet conditions.. (tested with panic rear braking last Friday when there was heavy rain in Delhi NCR.. tire did fish tail, but very minimum..

Till now I didn't have any puncture up front and at the rear.. (Touchwood) and both the tires are simply great

On the other hand, I recently changed the rear tire of my Hunk to Ceat Gripp.. the tire is simply fantastic.. grippy and I mean grippy.. but I am not sure if they come in TL and not sure if they can be used as TL..

Regarding Engine Oil.. well, this was always a point of concern for me.. I was using AX7 and I felt the bike wasn't performing as it is suppose to be.. however, the reason could be because of blocked injectors, dirty Fuel Filter and very lean/super lean AFR which my bike is going through at the moment. Once getting all this checked and kicked out.. I will refil with Shell AX7 and see how the oil makes the bike feel

I had a test ride of the new ZMR..

                              Few pointers from my side..

The bike was smoother compared to the old ZMRs.
The engine roared after 5000 RPM
Mid Range felt better than old ZMR
Vibes have been reduced. though there are vibes near the speedo console ( I am guessing something inside the console is at fault)
Vibes at the foot rest of rider is less than the old ZMRs
Initial undoubtedly better than the old models.
Sporty riding posture (not proportionate to the length and looks of the bike) ((Some people might like it & some might not, in my case my wrist started paining as I am not used to riding in such riding posture)
the chain guard looks sweet.. the rear tire hugger was missing and it looked better without it..
The rear tire is 120 profile and I am hoping we will get this in the market soon and it looked sweet..
Bikes weighs less than the Old ZMRs.
                              less bulky comparatively..
                              Bike from rear looks fantastic
The side mirrors don't vibrate at high speeds.. The vehicles coming behind are clearly visible unlike my ZMR.

                              Cons:
The length of the bike seems to have increased because of the headlight assembly.
The smoothness of the engine after 5K RPM seems to be lost.
The looks are not that great (subjective)
the split seat isn't seated properly.. there was gap between the seat and the rear cowl.
Sitting posture isn't touring friendly due to sporty posture (compared to old models)

I can't comment on the bike any other aspect as I only got a chance to ride 3-4 kms.. and I am not too much technical

For some reason, I loved to ride my Black Pearl after riding the new ZMR.. though my bike is bulky, huge and has vibes, the feel was completely different

And took a test ride of the ZMR and was verrrrrryyy impressed by the EBR tuned engine.
What are your views regarding the performance of the bike? Is the increased power and torque noticeable?

Also the fuel tank looks a little smaller than our bikes. Is that so? or is it just me??
