That is the only thing I am looking forward to..ECU of our ZMR can be replaced/remapped by this ECU of new ZMR..right guys?? to get the same amount of power the new ZMR has got though regarding tire, I doubt if we will be able to fit a tire section of 120 in our existing bike without any alteration..we will need to cut/remove the chain cover!!

You can also opt for new ZMR open chain guard...

I don't think it's that simple. They have increased both power and torque figures from the same 230 cc block, hence I feel bore, stroke have been altered as well. I maybe wrong, but I feel internals would need change too.
        Got a $5 head? Get a $5 helmet.

The R looks pretty ugly in flesh too. My personal opinion

what exactly I have heard/read is that EBR re-tuned the existing Engine so I doubt if they had made any changes to it but there is a possibility that AVL & Engine's Engineering might have had made few changes, which sadly we can't confirm even till now!!
Let's just hope for the best!!

If the bore or stroke changes, then it won't remain a long-stroke engine. Considering maintaining different inventory for bikes of the same DNA, we might safely assume internals remain the same. Plus, there's upcoming HXR. So, all this hoopla (a pretty ugly teaser though) could be pointing towards the HXR launch.

I am not sure if this link has been posted earlier.
Hero Karizma ZMR Bike, Karizma ZMR Price, New Karizma ZMR Specifications - Hero MotoCorp Ltd.

                  Kerb weight 157kg. (159 earlier)
Battery is now 7AH. (6AH earlier)
                  Rear Tyre size 120 / 80 x 18 TL

It is strange that they have mentioned the bore X stroke specification for xtreme but did not bother to mention the same for ZMR/ZMA.

By teaser, I meant...whenever a company comes up with something new, the immediate preceding model usually gets a facelift. In a way, it announces the upcoming arrival. Well, in Hero's case, the new ZMR's design looks awfully rushed. On the brighter side, it will probably mean people willing to shell out more for the HXR 250R than taking home the new ZMRarrgh!

If that's the case top speed would be increased considerably

Hero Website claims 129kmph as top speed.. so it can possibly do upto 132-134 kmph on speedo.. and we know how accurate zmr speedo are..

I think a bike with optimal tire pressure, well lubed chain, clean filters and new oil would hit ~135 kmph with a solo rider.

Its funny they still have the old, err; original ZMR as the cover pic in the new ZMR's page. Maybe Ranbir is too busy with Ms Kaif.
