Re: Hero Honda Karizma ZMR
After going through all the Pulsar Mania, thought that I should pen down something that I experienced... I had Nov 2006 Pulsar 180 red in colour.... It was my 1st bike so had a special feeling for it... But by the time I reached 2011, bike's almost each and every big or small parts got changed and on top of that the bike still felt like it needed another big servicing....Originally posted by vijaycool View PostHow can I forget rusted silencer. Looks everyone has same set of issues with pulsar. Another peculiar issue is when I ride above 90kmph whole clutch bell assembly will move towards casing side and press against the clutch release lever. All of the sudden you hear a wild roar and rpm shoots to 10k. Reduce the speed a little clutch engages. This started at 8k kms and no one could rectify. Due to this I never touch 100. This time I wont fall for fancy gizmo and zmr seems to be better choice. I too like new junk but again its 150cc and its similar to honda dazzler. Honda is also very very high on maintenance and very costly spares

Yes in 2011 the bike's exhaust became like "Mouth ka kuya's bike"...
Utimately got fedup and sold in October 2011. Still bike looked great!! Felt a pain when I sold the bike.. ZMR healed it all and make me happy each and every time I start the bike..

Had similar experience with my dad's Bajaj Saffire bought in 2004. Everytime it started some new-new probs wud crop up. Believe me, everytime.!!!!Originally posted by antan_shank View PostAfter going through all the Pulsar Mania, thought that I should pen down something that I experienced... Ultimately, my dad got fedup of the scooty & sold it within 9 months of purchase. Bought a Honda Activa & since then it ran perfectly till 2011 when we sold it as my dad developed diabetes & started preferring the car. Activa is awesome. Come rain or mud, it'd kip goin on & on & on... Used to wash it once in 6 months. But, still not a SINGLE PROBLEM. I don't know about other Honda models, but I can swear by the Activa.
Chapter closed for me for Bajaj. No matter whatever bike they develop, I'll probably never buy a Bajaj again. I fell for the luks of the Bajaj scooty. They luk damn good, but reliability is very poor. As they say 1st impression is the last impression.

Re: Hero Honda Karizma ZMR
My dad still runs on LML Vespas NVSpl make 1990 and still running great... It touches 60+ with easy.... I used the Pulsar for almost 5 years and never ever gave a 2nd though on changing or getting any new parts... Still didn't have the smooth feeling, not even equal to the ZMR after 2.5K KMs post servicing....Originally posted by jack_daniels View PostHad similar experience with my dad's Bajaj Saffire bought in 2004. It's the Honda engines still rules the road not the Hero the maker... Without Honda, Hero would have been just another Bajaj may be a bit better...
Next time in my life I change my bike (I doubt when will it be, may be when I 40) will sure get hold of an cruiser for sure, to test all jonors..

Back home after operating abhi7013's bike.
We still haven't been able to pin point the cause.
Steps taken/will be taken over the weekend:
1. Injector cleaning
2. Breather tubes cleaning.
Fuel pump is a mystery.
psr sir, what is this leak pointing to? Also, I'd like to thank you for spoon feeding me the tank's connections over the phone.

Divya bhai and psr sir, am deeply thankful for the help I got today! Am lucky I guess.
Anyways as divya said, we still were not able to point out the problem. Ignition coil and fuel injector will be checked by tuesday. If there is no problem in them, then fuel pump is da only suspect I guess.

Re: Hero Honda Karizma ZMR
Great to hear.. the pic seems like some leakage from the other end of the oil cooler. Maybe something hit it..Originally posted by Divya Sharan View PostBack home after operating @abhi7013's bike.

Abhi.. did you change the O-ring and the drain bolt during the recent oil change??
now coming to my bike.. The RR unit is at fault.. thats what the Hero Guys are suspecting. the problem is.. the RR unit for ZMR is not available anywhere till i checked.. gonna go tomo as well to find out if it is available..
in case I don't find it. is there any alternate? like the CBR RR Unit or any other bike RR Unit which can be fit in place of ZMR?? anything as good as or better charging capacity than the ZMRs RR unit would be good.
Expecting some suggestions from the senior members here..

Re: Hero Honda Karizma ZMR
@ Divya Sharan....The leak is from a loose or failed seal of The Timing Sprocket inspection door...If you see closely the oil is wet and more near the left screw of the door..You have unscrew both Bolts , replace the sealing material on the door, or apply 3 Bond on inner lip and re-tighten...
Gasket 9 and "O"ring 18 needs replacement...
----consecutive posts auto-merged-----
Suspect the injector since like I told you over Phone, 2010 ZMR are not likely to face Fuel Pump issues..Originally posted by Divya Sharan View PostBack home after operating @abhi7013's bike.

Get the Injector cleaned and try..99% it is the culprit...Originally posted by abhi7013 View PostDivya bhai and psr sir, am deeply thankful for the help I got today! Am lucky I guess.
