Hero Honda Karizma ZMR

    Yes, correct....now i am able to found it...


    Saturday went to SVC for meter reset problem; found that battery is getting weak...battery is ok but on load i.e. headlight on, indicators...and not taking the power to start and reset the whole thing...

    Changed the battery with Exide 7 Amp....SVC quote Rs. 1900 for the same.......after searching with 4/5 dealers just found with only one dealer for Rs. 1500

    Also, i think of Amron 9 Amp...after not able to found with Exide dealer....ask a welding person to cut the frame to fit a Amaron battery as mentioned by "psr"...he started working on it but then could not found the cable (heat cable) connected with starter...so has to drop the Amaron...

    Then last found the battery ....now working fine...no reset issue...

    Exide Dealer says that 7 Amp is mostly out of stock...

    Battery comes with warranty of 18 months and 6 months extra in case get faulty then company can provide new with some amount need to pay...

      How much have u clocked till date with the stock battery?
      ZMR Battery is 6 Amp or 7 Amp, got confused, SORRY...

        Mine has run 17200...

        I was also in wrong information that ZMR has 6 Amp battery...its actually 7 amp....came to know during purchase and view of stock battery...

          So I guess I am also in quick line, reach 19000 kms while returning home today.

          The Manual is crappy then, I guess. Thanks for sharing the info.

          Are you getting it under warranty or getting discounted for the Old Battery?

            kindly elaborate what is this and why u need this to fix a amaron battery.

              Stock battery warranty is for 1 or 1.5 year not sure...mine is going to complete 2 year in Jan. 2012...

              Even on website ZMR specification has a mentioning of 6 Amp battery...

                The Stock battery has first - and then + point connection where in other batteries we have + and then - connection.

                The cable connecting to + point from starter relay is short in length..if you put a Amaron battery you need to extend the cable...

                              The Amaron 9 AH is 1600/- and if you know the dealer you can get at less price.
                              The cable connecting battery positive to starter relay can actually be made by buying the battery clips from any good 2 wheeler spare parts vendor, and soldering a thick wire(7/20 or 7/16) of appropriate length to it,again available from the spare or electrical shops ,seller.
