The ZMA and ZMR both have highly reliable engine . That said in a Fi system the Fuel pump is a Achilles heal ...not just in ZMR. If you want to rule out this , then you should be looking at Carbureted ZMA-R...

You can ask this query in the CBR and R15 threads too just to make sure. To be on a safer side, i even considered replacing the pump when i hit 60-70k kms. But that's still far so no issues. My advice: Inquire in the mentioned threads and if you get a positive response, close your eyes and buy it.
thanks abhi7013! that was really helpful and just what i needed to hear and i guess there has to be some risk factor otherwise where's the fun!

Saturday saw the new ZMR...quality of parts are of top quality......front/headlight has extended much more ...notice few things...

The silencer heat guard (black portion) is loose and will vibrate because it has been hold with just one screw...the tail is very solid...and will not vibrate at all during ride....

The chain guard is attached with the short tyre muffler...the swing arm has been curved little more compared to old ZMR...

Also, i got my tail light issue fixed...a mechanic in our locality open using hot gun...and found that tail glass loose and not sticking to its place...he fix with elfy...and seal the tail light...however, he has not seal using any additive...as gum was still sticky....can some one suggest on this....so that no water/dust goes inside the tail...

may be lighter piston and stuff like that too could result in power na?

But max power @8000 makes no sense then.
I always felt that ZMR was way too slow beyond 105 .. Hero must have felt that too and made it more torque and bhp to run on power beyond 100 too but then they must have stumbled upon engine going nuts beyond 140 so must have fit the limiter again to increase engine life..

ECU is same. Changes include high lift cams and remodeling of pistons to accommodate valves for high lift.

Happens to me too. There's a small dip in the loudness of the horn. Very small one.

This line again arouses my doubts regarding compatibility of the chain guards with our bikes.

More than the chain guard, I'm saddened to know that our struggles for better non OE rear tire continues!

Checked my bike today no strained sound came.. (although I heard it once a couple of months ago..) may be you are driving your bike very less. If you drive daily there will be no lack in battery and no strain will occur
