  • those are some cool pics! Specially the one with 'hail the lord'. You rated cornering as 5/5. But i have a problem with this and i seek a solution from all. Even at speeds from 20kmph when i tilt my bike for cornering, the tyre skids lik hell. The types are all still stock. I've done 20k+ kms and according to what i see, the tyres are in pretty good condition so thats not the prob. Many times i was at the verge of falling. If i break little and turn, then falling is guarantee. Without breaking and turning also is risky. So i avoid tilting the bike too much. But from the reviews i read, zmr has excellent cornering skills. Is there a problem with the bike? Tyres are good so i do not think its a prob

Me too clocked almost 20k kms on stock tires. (50 more kms to go for 20k )
Stock tires not good for cornering per se, but still you can tilt the bike to a fairly good extent.
Maintain 29 psi and 33 psi as recommended and practice turning/cornering in some parking lot. I have been doing the same in my office parking lot daily for 4 months now.
Never use brakes when turned in!
With experience, you may try trail braking; but try only when you've matured enough!
No probs with your bike, its the tire to blame. Plus, the 100 mm section doesn't infuse much confidence either. Upgrading to a 110 mm PSD may help to some extent.
(And yes, seems the stock tires are good to last at least 35k kms. )

Simple. Don't put the tube, keep the air pressure valve in the rim that comes for the TL tires and voila!
BUT, remember, you're taking a risk with keeping the TT tire as TL. It may not perform optimally.

On a slope, possibly! I have managed a top speed of 125 kmph on straights without a pillion, but a friend of mine managed 129 kmph on my bike downhill. Both were done without pillion though.
Mobile GPS readings for both stints were 123 kmph and 126.8 kmph respectively.

Bro...the best cornering that ive done is during the Malshej Ride..all stock bike..!! Ive without fear tilted my bike at speeds of 60-70...on usual curves with efficient breaking skills...!! and on really sharp curves...the speed really needs to be cut down!! the road was new...complete tar...as in it hadnot even dried yet....and i rode just as the noon ended..at around 4pm.....!!! to be very frank....No issues with the cornering!!
Apart from malshej also ive done quite a many rides...and as of now no issues with the cornering...and with the corners which have an upslope.....i dint find any power loss...Just the right gear shift at the perfect timing...makes the bike move with the same motion .....!!!!
i also had a fren with a pulsar 200 and i had just got his tyres changed to PSD...amazing tarmac grip bro...!! Planning to get my stock changed to M62 front and PSD rear!!!

and yes brother ive touched the 127kmph with pillion mark quite a many times on the highways...!!! With the down shift pattern...!!! Without the pillion i avoid....as a skinny (60kgs) i feel a little scared to touch high speeds......when im alone with less luggage....i prefer cruising speeds of 115-120...kmph!!

                    1. Get your spark plug checked
                    2. Fuel pump and fuel filter may have issues...get it cleaned by an expert..!! Last month i had similar issues of water entering my tank and the bike used to give hickups...!! So got the fuel pump n fuel filter checked and had a lot of water in there...!! And a lot of sand particles into my fuel filter...!!!
                    3. Check whether the passway for ur airfilter is not blocked....and also check your airfilter..!!

But amongst the three i have strong intution of possibility number two.....Fuel pump n fuel filter issue..!!!
But first time appear when i shifting to neutral to stop at traffic light...in this case i was not accelerating...

Got my Angel Serviced neatly yesterday at 29922 Kms.
Horn, Air Filter, Spark Plug & Gear Pedal Lever changed.

As promised earlier the PSD pictures with a better view.

                      @ SHIVAKRISH,

Yes MICHELINS can be done TUBELESS since the rim edges are quite better.
But initially need to check regularly and needs time to settle on the Rims in some cases.

And YES have clocked 123 Kmph with my WIFE when the art of attaining Top Speed was unknown with lesser skills.
Although clocked 127 Kmph also in the earlier days.
So it is fairly possible but after 115 Kmph the increment is slow and steady and need to have a very long open stretch!!!

if you want to use TT as TL then after getting the tyre on rim, initially fill the air slightly more than suggested so that the tyre stick to the wall of rim else the tyre will loose air suddenly. happened to me twice when i got new sirac.

                          • hello guys
i am very disappointed with the top speed of my zmr
yesterday i had gone for a one day trip to nandhi hills to check the top speed of the bike after a very long time but it has disappointed me with only 120 kms without a pillion,it reached 118km with ease and 119 km was achieved in another 2 seconds but 120 kms was a big task i had to wait for a slope but it did not cross 120kms and also i did not get a long stretch whenever i reached 120 kms i had to slow down because of the traffic or the uphill but i felt there was no power left to go any further
what may be the reason to this, i had touched 124 previously with ease some years back and also knew some power was left in the bike to touch 130kms.
but i was really happy with the initial pick up,it did 0-60 in 3-3.5 secs and this is a fact unlike the other bikes
is there any problem with the bike
to add to my worries, guys have posted that they have touched 125,127 with a pillion
                            guys please help me

                            The Dream come true

                            • tyre pressure, amount of fuel in tank, etc etc are minor things but largely effect performance. Same nandi stretch i did not cross 120. Infact i did not cross 116. But on the highway, with pillion, reached 123 without effort. But struggled to make 126. Road is not good on nandi stretch. But highway is super cool. Mind you this was without filter. After installing filter i have posted my experience. Top speed i stil did not check

                              • @praj_zm:- Nothing to worry about.

Things to check, since you're planning a Mysore ride too.
                                1. Air filter
                                2. Tire pressure
                                3. Oil Quality.

Take care of the above 3 and you'll be fine.

Now, other things that are often not taken into account.
                                1. Amount of fuel in tank. (<4 litres gives better performance w.r.t >7-8 litres)
                                2. Did you crouch or not?
                                3. Were you wearing loose pants/cargos?
                                4. Did you always upshift at 6.5k to 7k RPM?

                                You shall find answers.
                                Got a $5 head? Get a $5 helmet.
