Update(Aug 2012): The procedure for visiting Kas has changed and it is a BIG change. You have to pre-register yourself on a website. Only 2000 people per day would be allowed to visit the place. This is very good for the place, but not good for the visitors. There are many other ways this could have been done, but i am happy that at least something is being done. The website is Home. You have to give your details along with the number of people with you. Then you have to pay 10 rupees per person, bank details are given.

    • Battery Change!!!

      Hi XBhpians,

Need a very quick help regarding my Battery.

Planned to change the Battery since Bike clocked around 30000 Kms in 28 Months.
Also someone is ready to buy the Old OEM one for Rs 500/-

Accordingly my very Good Friend (Karizma 2011) and Office mate went with my Bike to fit the 9Ah AMARON since he is also having this.

He went to the same place where he fitted one in his Bike and in fact many XBhpians do in this place.

Just came back half an hour ago and returned my Bike saying it was not possible to fit AMARON. (Although I knew this)
But the Battery Dealer said that the existing one is in very good shape ans should last long enough.

Although need to confirm an EXIDE Dealer on FXK0-XPTZ7
Exide X-Pack VRLA Batteries (with 24 Months Pro rata Warranty).
After confirmation he will bring it and will cost Rs 1680/-

Should I go ahead and change the Battery or will I stick with the OEM one?

I have 9ah battery installed on my zmr some 6 to 7 mnths back, till date no issues as such, to get it fit into zmr you need some modifications to be done in battery cage.

If your stock battery last you for 30000 kms and if you have not faced any problem and if you dont want to try for 9ah then i would advise you to go for stock one.

              Now my query:-

Need urgent info. I went for coffee out of ofc in the rains. Went sans the helmet. (sorry, but it was deliberate to listen to the sounds) I feel that the sound doesn't come entirely from the chain sprocket set. Rather, it feels like some busted ball bearing set! Can someone explain how the engine and the chain sprockets are connected? Any (and how many) ball bearings in between?
I feel some problem lies in the rear portion of my kari. It sounds as if the chain is hitting the cover or the tire wobbling. The tire doesn't wobble according to my friends but due to this, I get crazy vibes. After I rip for 8-10 kms (>5K RPM) the problem settles down. Does it mean, there are kinks in the chain?
It might be the rear disk/brake pads making that noise. The origin of the noise was pretty hard to locate. I got it fixed at the ASC. Took about 10 mins. Hope it helps!

There needs to be a small modification done to fit in a bigger battery, its possible and we have done that here in mumbai

however, if everything is working fine , then let it continue.....

if no one is ready to fit higher amp battery , then please stick to the oem battery and get that ordered from hero....

Dada, I'd suggest you to stick to the OEM battery.
9AH can be fit into the bike, but it requires a judicious planning with the battery cage dimensions to make it fit in the space. IMO, ZMAs have a bigger cage and modifying them for a 9AH is easier when compared to ZMRs.
What about the 8AH VRLA battery that comes with P200NS? I heard its of similar size as our 6AH batteries. Is it available at dealers yet?

Nope. Its not the disc. The bike's at the SVC now. Shall get it by evening. Will post findings.

I Purchase @ Rs 1600 in Nov. 2011...don't buy from SVC they cost 400 Rs more and they used to get a replacement from HH and sell again..also they will not reduce price of old battery....

If your battery is working fine...then i suggest not to change unless it creates problem.

If you have already make a mind to replace also check for 8 amp...as in specification of P200 NS 8amp Exide VRLA battery is used....i not sure if it available in market as when i changed mine the dealer told me that 7 amp is last model in VRLA....

Unless the present one stopped working don't replace it .

You can check for exide batteries here http://www.exidereachout.com/OA_HTML...?section=10022

Mine stock battery on passion lasted 4 years & replaced delhi made lasted around 5 years , both with extreme loads in those total 9 years .
Use the stock battery completely , there is simple trick to get some 2/4 month of extra from battery once it start giving trouble . One of my friends ZMR battery stopped working after 18 month , we then made it to work for 6 month more . Will post it when my blog will be set .

In the mean time add a voltmeter to ZMR , with which it is easy to keep eye on battery voltage , on ebay they are available for around 125 rupees . But in red color , contacted few seller is they gonna made white or blue display available , now waiting for their reply . If interested let me know will forward you info then .

Last time found one cool 4 digit blue led waterproof voltmeter in bid which finally costed 250 rupees to winner , but damn i am unable to bid as ebay now only allows paypal users to bid .

No such a thing found in the SVC , they mostly get ECU from another bike check with it & our ECU to that bike , if worked correctly they say all is ok .
