    • is it really true that pulsar can beat the karizma zmr
because me and my cousin went for a ride in nh who owns a 220
i felt the karizma has the ability to outrun the pulsar 220 ?
it is just my personal thought and i am not comparing the 2 bikes
i just want to know the calibre of my beast

here are some of the pics of the ride

No, the P220 can't be beaten by a ZMR.
Maybe, you'll have better 0-60 timings, if you're a very good rider, but after that, well...

P220 is much faster. But not as smooth!

        ------------------------------------------------
        UPDATE:-
Adjusted the chain by 5 mm. The sound has reduced by 90%. Shall adjust more if the sound increases. Have reduced the free-play from about 35 mm to 30 mm. Apparently the rest of the noise comes from the sprocket. Will change it after 5 K. I guess using engine braking every time took its toll on the chain-sprocket!

As i have earlier posted, in a drag i had beaten 4 p220s.. All thanks to my mechanic!! Earlier used to be taunted by people on a 220 but now i have that confidence! Not encouraging races though but i just told my experience. In stock condition however its impossible to beat 220 on a zmr.. However if you compare the two beasts then pulsar can easily take on turnings and weave through traffic which is not possible in zmr due to sheer bulk.. But zmr's engine is however way more refined... Idle the to engines and increase the rpm little and you'll know.. Both bikes have ups and downs.. I liked the ups of zmr and went for it: quality of make, paint, engine smoothness, looks and of course, the long-life promise of HH..

              Thank You sir.

              Well for Mandarmani
              .Distance = 200km (Digha is +50)
.Time of journey = 5-6 hrs (including an hour break)
.Road condition = Too good for 170km rest is indian village streets
.Route = Take NH117 from kolkata
              >It ends up in NH6 > Follow NH6 till kolaghat
              >Enjoy food at Shere Punjab dhaba (Best dhaba around)
              >From kolaghat switch to NH41 till Nanda kumar
              >From Nandakumar switch to NH116B till Chawalkhola
              >Take left from chawalkhola and continue till you hit the beach

              Suggestion

No. Those were made when some other bike's exhaust kissed mine. They are not so visible when the bike is clean. But you are an Observer i must say

                Friends
I would like to share my experience
If you are looking for a good Bike wash and you want it quick.. There is a solution in kolkata. R N Singh petrol pump beside aloochaya cinema in Beliaghata. They are pro and they take only half an hour to wash and blow. My bike was dirty like hell. There was lots of sand and mud in mudguards + Black oily thing which is produced on roads by burning of tires and then rain was sprinkled all over the cowl. Everything got cleaned very very well. This kind of wash is highly recommended.

Now for the first time I bought a chain lube

                Cleaned the chain with kerosene

                Wiped

                Sprayed on the inner side

As I wasn't satisfied so sprayed on the outer too

                And Done

Thanks to all members for the tutorials and advices. The whole clean and lube thing just took half an hour.

ya,the zmrs engine is butter smooth which pulsar lacks
and i love the feel of this especially on highways

and a good news for bangalore zmr riders, the spare parts are readily available in dhanalakshmi motors in rajkumar road except for stickers
                  which i need very badly

There are three suppliers for HERO HONDA oil:-
                          1. TIDE water - The same company who produces VEEDOL oil. The best oil of hero and is recommended.
                          2. MAK- As you know of bharat petroleum and is the worst. If ever you use it you will feel that hero honda oils are bad but it is not the case. Use veedol and see the diffrence.
                          3. Savita chemicals- This is sort of ok, Not as good as veedol and not bad as bharat petroleum.

No, they are the most difficult parts among all to source.
You may ask the ASC, but I highly doubt they stock it. You may give sticker shops a try though!
