Lol, thats nothing, just a silly intake mod. Visit the ZMA thread more often and you'll see some crazy ass mod's there.

I removed the stock filter box and everything to accomodate em Root's windtones, so the breather unit needed an individual filter hence got this made. Its common to find a breather filter in cars with intake mod's but its rarely found on bikes. I've only seen 2 ZMA's with separate breather filter, one is mine and the other one is Sankers from tbhp. The rest of the guys either shut the hole(bad idea, you'll blow a seal soon.) or let it open(again a bad idea, cause the oil will get contaminated.).

      • All ZMR brothers, are there any issues with GRS shocks, failing too soon? I heard the design of new GRS shocks changed slightly (information from SVC). Rakesh changed his shocks twice so far.

Breather filter's purpose is to contain environmental contamination.
When going for aftermarket performance filters, you're exposing the engine to a lot more dust than a stock filter. Breather filters save you to a certain extent.

                  • Hi guys, I installed an application, "Ulysse Speedometer" from the android market friday night and wanted to test my bikes performance with it. It has got a racing speedo section where 0-60 and 0-100 timings will be noted, and top speed too. Today morning I got a chance to ride from kodakara (My workplace) to palakkad and had to go via the Salem Ernakulam highway. In midway I got a thought of testing my bike's performance as much traffic was not there and I got a long freeway ahead. So right at the signal, when I had to stop the bike, I was busy opening the application and an R15 V1 came beside me and was revving his bike hard.

The signal came green, and I revved my engine. Changed my 1st gear at some unknown rev. I dint get a chance to see that.
2nd to third was done at around 5.5 rpm I guess. 3rd to 4th at 72kmph, 4th to 5th at 101kmph, topspeed attained was 124kmph (Please note that the bike was still accelerating but had to give up as traffic was there ahead) I stopped my bike to check the values and saw the R15 guy flying by. He was around 3 seconds lagging behind me I guess. Just counted in my mind.

                    Info from the application
0-60 @ 3.85s (I heard, someone telling this cant be achieved by ZMR)
                    0-100 @ 13.15s
                    topspeed 123kmph

Gosh, our machine is a performance maniac. Show these values to an R15 guy and he will piss in his pants
Also, I did not crouch, winds were there, and I was not running down a slope. tadaaaa
So I am sure, company claimed 126 can easily be achieved and top speed would be near to 130
(Till today's drag, me too believed my ZMR would never reach 126 )
RVM is a good tool to see your buddys losing behind while racing :)

Great to know that a free (probably) android app gave you readings that a 25k Garmin GPS failed to give me. Anyways, assuming that the application makes accurate usage of satellite readings; I'd say congratulations. BTW, there are folk who did > 126 already.
Praj did a 127 this Sunday during our G2G ride.

Its not the ride, but the rider.

                      • Guys,I just have a question,it may sound foolish but still i felt i need to ask you guys . ZMR uses PGMFi system with six sensor's and evn the CBR250R too uses same set up . The difference are in ECU mapping and,may be injector size. The doubt is,can the CBR setup be used in ZMR??? Yes there is a lot difference in the bore size and the DOHC thing, also the sixth gear. But since the ECU learns from the sensors and uses the mapping present in the ECU,can that ECU be used in ZMR??? Just a thought of a empty mind...

                            Ha ha good thought mate.

Sadly, the concept ends right there. Both share the same FI tech and nothing else.
Bore/stroke/displacement/valves/compression/cooling/power-train/transmission/ignition timings/OHC-DOHC difference/sensors etc are all different on both bikes and cannot be interchanged.

Also, engine mounts, chassis etc are different.

If the above were possible, we'd be trying out CBR 1000RR's ECUs on our rides.

bro.. I have already touched 129kmph when my black pearl was stock.. touched 133kmph last July after a little mod.. might have gone upto 135kmph if i accelerated hard but decided not to and slowed down to wait for my friend on his RTR180.. he reached after almost 10secs and he said his top speed was 126kmph on the speedo and his speedo has an error of 7kmph.. note.. these were the indicated speed from Speedometer.. might be less or more.. can never say

i will be checking the performance of my bike soon.. but I guess it would have reduced...
