The performance is noticeable.. but i feel the refinement after 5000 RPM is no more.. the engine was harsh.. maybe because the engine is new and i was the first person to ride that bike.. however.. mid range performance is way better than the old zmrs.. no doubt in that..

Tank is the same size and same as that comes with our ZMRs.. it looks small cos of the fairing mounted a little away from the tank..

Forgot to add.. finding neutral was tough. Probably because it is a new bike and i remember how i used to face that with my Zmr when i got her out of the showroom.. but the vibes have definitely reduced.. specially on the side mirrors.. and there are no DRLs.. they are the parking lights...

Exactly.. the harshness is due to the bike being brand new. Running in not done yet na..

Btw could you please explain the headlight assembly? The ones on the sides are the pilot lamps, and the headlights above and below are for high beam and low beam? something like that?

The engine roared after 5000 RPM
Mid Range felt better than old ZMR
Vibes have been reduced. though there are vibes near the speedo console ( I am guessing something inside the console is at fault)
Vibes at the foot rest of rider is less than the old ZMRs
Initial undoubtedly better than the old models.
Sporty riding posture (not proportionate to the length and looks of the bike) ((Some people might like it & some might not, in my case my wrist started paining as I am not used to riding in such riding posture)
the chain guard looks sweet.. the rear tire hugger was missing and it looked better without it..
The rear tire is 120 profile and I am hoping we will get this in the market soon and it looked sweet..
Bikes weighs less than the Old ZMRs.
less bulky comparatively..
Bike from rear looks fantastic
The side mirrors don't vibrate at high speeds.. The vehicles coming behind are clearly visible unlike my ZMR.

Cons:
The length of the bike seems to have increased because of the headlight assembly.
The smoothness of the engine after 5K RPM seems to be lost.
The looks are not that great (subjective)
the split seat isn't seated properly.. there was gap between the seat and the rear cowl.
Sitting posture isn't touring friendly due to sporty posture (compared to old models)

I can't comment on the bike any other aspect as I only got a chance to ride 3-4 kms.. and I am not too much technical

For some reason, I loved to ride my Black Pearl after riding the new ZMR.. though my bike is bulky, huge and has vibes, the feel was completely different

Totally agree with you rreneav1987 our bikes may have vibes and are bulky but the riding posture and the feel is different from the new ZMR.
I feel i made a right choice not waiting for the new ZMR. And now simply loving my STEED more and more.

kmk0311 Bro torque/power was definitely better and the bike pulled really well even with pillion.(I weigh 80kg /Pillion also quite healthy)

And regarding the tank its of same size and capacity, its just that this ZMR is slimmer than our ZMR. So the tank appears to be smaller

I actually didnt have time to check the switches and electrical parts as i was on my way to a doctor and my appointment time was almost up.. but the ones on the side are indicators.. the small LED strip is the pilot lights which mistook as DRLs..

And another thing i noticed was.. the welcome message.. after the welcome message. We get a message saying The Side stand is ON. Which means there is a switch indicating that the bike is on Side Stand.. it goes off only after we pull the side stand up..

Didnt get a chance to test it properly. Will go for another test ride when i give my Black Pearl for service.. on the whole.. a good improvement in terms of power.. lets see how the bike performs against p220.. definitely there will be a comparo between p220, old ZMR and the new ZMR..

And oh Yes. How could i have forgotten to include the cost..

On Road in Ghaziabad is 1,14,731/-

One more NEWS.. unofficial though.. heard from the Manager that the HX250R is coming soon.. hopefully Diwali! excited?? I sure am..

DRLs, you mean? Please go for another test ride in the night preferably and take pictures of the headlight, pilot lamps and all that. Thank you

Older ZMR had Busa inspired graphics. The new one has a similar looking headlight outline.
rreneav1987, are the handlebar stems shorter in height lending it a sporty stance?

Yup.. if the headlight had been a little broader, then it would have looked exactly like the Busa

Buddy.. check the last pic I posted of Karizma R.. thats the size of the Handlebar.. the stem connecting to the fork is shorter compared to the existing old models.. I was totally uncomfortable with them.. as I am used to riding a sports tourer from Day 1 in premium segment..

Not Busa inspired I hate it when people say stuff like ZMR is a copy cat bike.. its just a younger sibling of CBR 600F(old version)

Arey Bahi log, why fight over old and new....anyway when we are not going for the new ZMR. All I can think of is how to add parts and accessories from the new one and still keep my ZMR's warranty valid.

The wish list could include: new ECU or a remapped one, broader tyres, doing away with the kiddy chain guard, add more....

Maybe the Old CBR was inspired from the mighty old hayabusa just pulling your legs..

by the way.. we can't be sure about the Bore and Stroke yet.. lets wait for the proper specs..
