There's a screw for adjusting height of the beam. Below the console. Just check the area surrounding it.. And the underside of the console..

It also depends on petrol pump's person filling the petrol

Check for the inner bolts above the back side of headlight assembly , but don't touch the two #10 bolts on both side below the headlight reflector back as they are for adjusting the light spread .

Also check the 2 bolts holding the fairing which are below & near the horns .

          • hi guys.....i am facing a starting problem with my zmr.Last weekend i went for a ride about 15km, i stopped for water and tried to star it but couldn't. My display was blinking at that time. I thought i was a battery problem so i took it to a local mechanic. he checked the battery and was working properly.
now dont know what to do. going svc 2morrow.

Check the battery condition with the battery tester meter in SVC , check for fuse , relay & battery cables for carbon .

As per the manuals the star shaped screw is for adjusting the light spread .
So when i got some noise problem i thought to tighten all the nuts around headlight reflector . Which include those slightly tighten nuts by HMC , after tighting them completely i found light spread is like 2 circle on road , then i loosen them to discover various type of spread at various length . Its real hard for me to get the correct height , length & shape of light spread .
Asked many time in this thread to other owners to post some measurements , but no one helped .
So i suggest you not to play with it .

If your bike is taking self and it wont be a battery problem, it can also be a spark problem. You can try one thing, once u start your bike switch off the engine, and give a water pressure on each electrical parts one by one and start checking the bike, for example first spray on the battery compartment, then cdi, ignition coil, carburettor and finally all over the bike thoroughly....this way u can know/guess if water is created a problem somewhere. When it doesnt start check for the spark if it is weak or strong.

Oh it sounds ignition is getting ON but self is not responding at all? right?
Then u needa check the wiring right from the start to end, or the self switch may got carbon from inside.
On the other hand, if self is responding but cant start the bike, that means battery is doing dead.

Same problem. Ditto.. Even if i pressed the engine start button, bike would not start.. No sound too. The mech said its the relay problem.. He replaced it and it was good as new. But your mentioning the blinking of the console? So am not sure what the problem for that is..

If you already checked the battery then just replace the Fuse..it'll be fine..

                            Edit
There are few Fuses below your bike's seat first check them & also there's a Fuse attached right next to the battery..that can also be the culprit..

                            • There's only one screw to adjust the height of the beam rite? Or is there another to widen the field of view? Horizontal adjust

Well, I did my best bro, hope you can remember, just cannot find the related posts

For all, Please don't play with those nuts, you will end up with a useless headlight, unless and otherwise presicion adjustments applied which needs a lot of patience and skills to correct it!
