Just came from the SVC, saw new model of ZMR the third one, Hero again came up with some sticker job, Two changes :
1). Instead of "Hero Honda" stickers now we have "Hero" stickers.
2). On Fuel tank we have "Z" sticker which would be very much helpful against the scratches done by knee guards. was not able to take a snap of the same, but soon on road we can see the same.
Enjoy the Third Version of Hero ZMR
Replace the words "I have to" with "I choose to" and notice the difference in how you feel.

To be in market and with new partnership we shall able to get new products from HM....but not soon...i surely take time...Originally posted by dhiraj View PostCurrently, Hero MotoCorp has two premium sports motorcycle offerings, in the form of the Hero Karizma ZMA-R and the Karizma ZMR. Both motorcycles use the 223cc air/oil cooled engine, that erstwhile partner Honda, supplied Hero with. While these motorcycles are high quality mile munchers, they’re still slow sellers compared to archrival Bajaj Auto’s Pulsar range. With Honda coming up with the CBR250R and Bajaj unveiling the KTM Duke 200, the time is ripe for Hero MotoCorp to launch another attack on the 200cc+ segment, a segment where it is losing market and mindshare rapidly.
For this very purpose, Hero MotoCorp has began development of the 250cc motorcycle that it will pit against the likes of the CBR250R and the KTM Duke 200. However, it will not be until 2014 when this motorcycle will be launched in the Indian market, and that is a good two years away. While there has been some talk about Hero using the 250cc short stroke four stroke engine from the Honda CBR250R, it now seems that Hero MotoCorp wants to develop the new 250cc motorcycle by its own, with assistance from perhaps its new technical partner, Erik Buell Racing, and Austrian engineering design firm AVL.
However, we wouldn’t be too surprised of Hero buys the technology packed 250cc liquid cooled engine from Honda, as it has been doing all along, by paying a royalty to the Japanese firm.
Will be going today to showroom as well as SVC...will see over there...Originally posted by dhiraj View PostJust came from the SVC, saw new model of ZMR the third one, Hero again came up with some sticker job, Two changes :

More no. of pages shows more number of users and also we can say the more the number of problems leads to more number of post.Originally posted by shivakrish View Postguys i have got a logical doubt.. among the ownership threads we have the least amount of pages i guess
actually the most shocking thing is tat the "PULSAR 200NS" thread has more no of pages when compared to us !!
So i personally feel that, those bike thread who have lesser number of post are the best bike in the market, users have no problem with their machine therefore no post & they are happy.
I own a CD-Dawn which is similar to splendor/joy/passion and we've only 125 pages and everyone knows/agree here that splendor series are the best product ever produced by the Hero Honda in the market
and still producing.
One owner of joy (sibun) his 12 years old bike have completed more than 3.1 lacks km in his bike and its still look like came from the factory new. http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/854067-post963.html no bike can last too much these days
Sorry i got too much off topic

my ZMR is giving the mileage of 33-35 approx from three consecutive refills. dunno what the problem is, just now cleaned the airfilter lets see if i notice any difference.
just to clear my doubt, if i change the engine oil, clean and adjusted the chain, and clean the air filter, give the bike complete wash, how much more the bike can go without service???

Change the air filter,.................. how long a bike can go without service is solely dependent on environment cleanliness, riding style and material used in maintenance.Originally posted by Mzee_Maverik View Postmy ZMR is giving the mileage of 33-35 approx from three consecutive refills. dunno what the problem is, just now cleaned the airfilter lets see if i notice any difference.

even i was think to get it changed. though i dont have any problem with the bike other than fairing noise which will be only rectified if my bike gets serviced in varanasi. i think i will be riding for 1 more month without getting it serviced.Originally posted by psr View PostChange the air filter,.................. how long a bike can go without service is solely dependent on environment cleanliness, riding style and material used in maintenance.

I am more inclined to suspect the Air Filter since you are consistently getting low FE irrespective of different Petrol filling station.....as regards service, my ZMA-R which is 1 yr and 5 months old had seen periodic oil change(1.5K Kms)one air filter change, and lube of chain every 1K Kms....all done by me..apart from this no other work had been done...Bike had done approx., 6 K + kms so far.Originally posted by Mzee_Maverik View Posteven i was think to get it changed. though i dont have any problem with the bike other than fairing noise which will be only rectified if my bike gets serviced in varanasi. i think i will be riding for 1 more month without getting it serviced.

While coming back to Mumbai from Nashik today, faced a concerned issue, bike got off on the highway, and not ready to start after 4-5 try, then i took a rest for 15 min and then started and fortunately it started and i continued with my ride. after that bike has not given any problem, now i am concern about the issue as i have faced this kind of situation 2 times in a day.
Will visit SVC soon to find out what is the issue. i think some of you guys have faced the same issue. Is this is the problem with fuel pump?Replace the words "I have to" with "I choose to" and notice the difference in how you feel.

@Dhiraj: Pl get your fuel pump checked ASAP. Because once its gone, you've no other choice than to tow the motorcycle and a 'heavy' bill to take care of! One of our respected ZMR owners has recently gone through a lot - his bike is still standing in the SVC since the past 5 days! Fuel pump completely gone, suddenly leaving him stranded on road!

Yeah, i have to else i have to pay Heavy bill as you said, and i known the person you are talking about. It has been a big issue faced by most of the zmr owners.Last edited by dhiraj; 09-24-2012, 11:40 AM.Replace the words "I have to" with "I choose to" and notice the difference in how you feel.
