  • Sorry for a separate post.

My Battery got damaged completely. So I need to change it to new battery.
Most probably would put Exide ETZ which I have used so far.

Is there any other battery options others are using?

Other then Exide no other option for same Amp.......for Higher Amp (9) go for Amaron ...but for that you need to modify the ZMR battery cage and wiring too...

better to buy XPTZ7 also known as X-Pack VRLA than ETZ7

So you have experience of both batteries, I assume.
Where will I find this battery? Any particular store. How good is it when compared to Exide which is probably more reliable with one year warranty as well.

Bro, you cannot buy it separately. It might just cost around 100-120 but it is not for sale. My neighbor's brother works in 7 Gear Customs and hence, I got it from him.

                .
The battery is same but only new so i suppose it is more reliable.
im still on stock battery, that new battery XPTZ7 was brought by my friend for his CBR 250R whose stock battery died suddenly after 10 mths.

It is better to fit a 9AH Amaron since it has higher capacity and the brightness of 50/60 Watts headlight even when iding engine in city traffic is very good ..It also enables the starter to start with lesser cranking and overall it is a VFM..You have to buy the old ZMA battery cage which is about 300/- and do some DIY...but the effort is worth it in terms of battery longevity and peace of mind,...and the 9 AH SMF with 24+24 months warranty /Guarantee costs about 1450/- approx..
I had done it on the 2011 ZMA-R, and also in my 2007 ZMA-R(2007 model has the bigger cage),and enjoying with 50/60 Watts Halogen headlight, and twin Horns each of 2 Ampere current capacity...rest all stock...
The ET/Xptz 7 are 6 Amps battery and dies within guarantee period or soon after that...

                  • I have the ZMR wiring diagram as posted some time back by Above_all..it is slightly out of focus, but the overall circuit flow and connections can be understood

& regarding Engine oil..I am using Shell Advance AX7 from past couple of weeks only though but it made gear shifting butter smooth which wasn't like in case with Castrol Active/power1..only thing is that engine is heating quite a bit but as its peaking time of summer so i can't say that its just because of an oil or the rising temperature in city..but overall I am very happy with its performance & will recommend it over Castrol..
Thanks Will switch on to Shell advance AX-7!

Thanks for your inputs PSR. I would try this DIY with my friends Amaron battery he is using in his ZMA-R. If it works well then I would most probably go for Amaron. Next update on this from my side would be on Saturday.

Low beam looks very bright and visible however I think the high beam should have been better. It looks lighter when compared to the low beam brightness. Just my thought!
