It is best to keep the bike stock to reatin its reliability, however I think there is not much you can do other than installing a k&N coz you cannot upjet(only for carb bikes) or remap as this is something like read only memory ECU we have in the ZMR...

Is there any battery drain issues with the projector.
Bcoz the stock battery is 6 amp.
Plz give me some suggestion whether I should go for projector or not.
I think some of the guys are using the projectors with Stock battery please go back a few pages and see discussions on lighting I guess there will be a answer for you there...

    • Am really crazed out abt the filter. So wat u mean is that the filter will not have any effects on the bike's performance due to absence of a carb? And in what ways can it harm the engine and are there any precautions? Cause til date i've not come across anyone having installed a filter in zmr

The filter will definetly have its effect on performance improvment, but what I meant to say is that in a Carb bike you can compensate the exrta air flow by Upjetting and letting more fuel to flow into the eingine, but here you dont have that option and the Air/Fuel mixture will not be optimum (even though the ECU will compensate it to some extent) and this may cause problems to the eingine in long run as it will be running on a lean fuel to the given air supplied...

"If you are really into the airfliter thing I guess you can buy it and as it will be a easy DIY to fit it you can use it on weekend rides or some thing like that and fit back the stock one for regular use"... I am not sure about the 2nd part someone please correct me if I am worng.

        • hmmm i'll need to ask someone then for the procedure involved in removin and installing da filter. Now i wanna talk somethin totally different here. Zmr is a quality sports tourer and i love the feel of it. But y most of the bikers specially ones wit a p220 keep on talkin abt the negatives of the bike? I do not feel that hero has done a big crime releasing zmr. Dats exactly how people speak about this beast.. Is it so damn worst? Someone do enlighten me it would be great!

          • The PGMFi system is said to compensate up to a 20% difference in intake.

So the best bet you've got is the Cosworth CWCFBK1001.

Open side panel, disconnect the battery and remove the airfilter box completely, and bolt on the free flow directly to the fuel injection system. Use an OEM Enfield DuckBill breather for the breather tube. Now leave the bike as it is overnight and the next day reconnect the battery, let the bike idle and then ride it hard for a couple of kms.

            DONE.

                    • Can Karizma ZMR be modified to look like Karizma R?

I was wondering if this is actually possible? I'm a huge fan of the zma R and have been riding one for 4 yrs now but I want the ZMR goodies in my bike like FI, nitro suspension and rear disc brakes...so I thought why not buy a ZMR and modify it to look like zma R?
The ZMR has clip on handle bars...so will the zma R front fairings fit on it? or will I have to do some adjustments....basically I want a bike that looks like zma R on the outside but from inside its a ZMR....has anybody else thought of this same thing? any help on this will be greatly appreciated

                      • Tires!!

Folks, does anyone know of the biker who probably had ZMR and was on the Grand Indian Roadtrip. Was curious to know what tires he had for both front and rear. Maybe those can be considered the best given he came back unhurt
                        Ride till the road ends.

I pointed that as Mr. Kaustubh might have mistakenly thought this guy was in complete GIR.
