To remove air filter just remove left panel under seat and u will see the air filter box.Open the cover by the screws holding it.After opening it Air filter should be visible. In the center there should be a hole and there is a screw on it holding air filter. remove it also and the air filter is ready to replace. There is no need to remove entire air box

It may suck in water during rain.It will void the warranty of your bike if the bike is in warranty.Originally posted by abhi7013 View PostI installed the k&n filter and when i went to take delivery of the bike he gave me the stock air box along with the bike.. There are lots more NON OWNERS repeatedly posting wrong information in other threads as they are expert & knows everything . Also no action is taken against them by staff for there off topic posts & wrong information & bashing .Originally posted by rakesh_zmr View PostGuys whats up no activity here all busy with the weeks work or it is the monsoon rides guys are busy with
In addition to it most of the guys only come to get a solution when they have a problem , but don't post any valuable information or try to share something which will be useful to others.
So most of the owners decided to be a silent observer's .
Check this post you will know it http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/coffee-l...tml#post810190Originally posted by abhi7013 View Posti wanna talk somethin totally different here. Zmr is a quality sports tourer and i love the feel of it. But y most of the bikers specially ones wit a p220 keep on talkin abt the negatives of the bike? I do not feel that hero has done a big crime releasing zmr. Dats exactly how people speak about this beast.. Is it so damn worst? Someone do enlighten me it would be great!
So it doesn't matter if ZMR has FI , full digital Speedo etc. they won't count it . http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/what-bik...tml#post809914

The right way to do it is, FIRST, make sure the battery is completely disconnected, then remove the air filter box completely along with the intake manifold, and plonking the aftermarket directly to the Fi unit. And also get a duckbill breather tube, its an OEM Enfield thingi, and fix it to the crank breather hose. And keep the bike like that overnight. Then connect battery and put back the panels, now start the bike and let it idle, then ride it hard for a couple of KMS.Originally posted by abhi7013 View Postguys to fit the air filter in zmr should the air any be removed completely and da filter directly attached? Bro had the same issue last year....and as i did not pay much attention to the issue...i was stuck in the middle of a ride where the water from the tank entered my fuel filter and the bike dint start..!!! had to push the bike to the nearest SVC and then the whole tank was removed and cleaned...!!Originally posted by rakesh_zmr View PostGuys need some help, as the monsoons started here I am having a problem with the fuel cap, the water colleceted under it during rains is not being drained automatically and in heavy rainfall its leaking into the fuel tank!!! I asked the service guys to fix the drain pipe but in vain, please let me know if there is a way we can clear out the drain pipe to let the water flow out of the cap area..
Thanks In Advance
the only thing you can do to it is try inserting a wire into the drainage hole on the rim of the fuel tank that u can see after you remove the fuel cap this will clear out any dust on the drainage pipe...remove the wire. then with a small bottle of water slowly pour water into it....the outlet of the drainage pipe is let out near the rear wheel on the right hand side....very near to the main stand.....if the water aint dripping from the excess pipe....then last resort.....bend down and blow air hard into the outlet this should work...this is what ive done...!!!
and another thing if the water entering into the fuel tank is too much in quantity then get the rubber bushing on the fuel cap changed....prolly it must hav gone hard and hence may not create the vaccume to avoid the water entering into the tank!!!Regards-

If the wire methode fails that means your pipe is pinned, remove the battery side panel and straighten the drain pipe. Once mine was clipped, water entered tank and I had to push a 150kg bike for a few kms.Motorcycling Experience:

thanks for the post, however I have seeked PSR sirs help and he gave a very detailed explanation of how to do it... Please find it belowOriginally posted by padfootmoony2006 View PostBro had the same issue last year....and as i did not pay much attention to the issue...i was stuck in the middle of a ride where the water from the tank entered my fuel filter and the bike dint start..!!! had to push the bike to the nearest SVC and then the whole tank was removed and cleaned...!!

From PSR Sir:
Regarding the problem you are facing ,there is a drain hose underneath the Petrol tank ,and if it bent then the problem you have stated will happen. To access it you have to remove the seat first, and then take out the tank mounting nut at the back of the tank, remove both left and right side shields, and then lift the tank by 2 inches. Now you will be able to see the drain hose...Normally the two star screws at eother end on top of the tank along with the bottom Fairing fixing screws have to be removed for lifting the tank, but if you are careful and do not exert too much force, then the first method will save you some re-fitting time...here id a picture of the drain hose for your reference...if you are doubtful about the DIY then take it to a good mech., sit by his side and get it done.....
