    • Can anyone tell me can i install Philips H4 130/100W bulb in ZMR.
One of my friend said he got H4 installed in his HH Hunk but he had to connect a Capacitor in between.

130 ..its too much high....your headlight reflector will burn with this...55W is normal and ZMR is capable to handle it..

No H4 is not a size , it is a socket type for headlight bulb & ZMR has it ( Not only ZMR but many other bike which have low & high beam in single bulb uses that type )

                Note that many time it is also called as HS1 . ( H4 = HS1 )

similarly T10 is type for parking bulb & many other bikes have it too . ZMR has it in headlight parking bulb & number plate bulb .

                  • engine oil

                    Hello Guys,

which is the best semi synthetic oil for ZMR; something that does not compromise with pick up of the bike and gives a good bike performance.

Anyone who used it please let me know.

Also, what should be the odo reading before i can change to SS...

                    2) HH recommends to change the oil in 6000KM and to top up ecery 2000KM or when the level is less for topup....

is it a good practice to change it before 6K or should we do it a lot sooner than that...

                    Thank you

                      shell advance ax7 10w40.
6k kms is too much for change. life of mineral oil is 1500-2000 kms after that it should be changed. i change oil at every 1200-1500kms.
in this hot weather its better to go with 20w40 oil like valvoline champ 4T.
if you want to stick with mineral oil then go for gulf pride 4T plus 20w40.

Shell Advance AX-7 10W-40 is the best deal for this bike (Shell Advance AX7 | India). Well they say to change oil at 6K kms but that practically never works out. It mostly depends on your riding style. If you rip it at times and drive at 5K-6K RPM and more in the city and all I guess you should change the oil at 2K to 2.5K kms max. (That too in upper limit, I don't think it will make even upto that... 2K shall be the upper limit. And well I'm talking about the Shell Oil here.... No Idea about the other oil types)

shell advance AX7 lasts no more than 1500kms after that overheating, roughness and vibration is noticeable.

I know bro. If you will read it again, you shall see that I myself had mentioned that 2K kms is the upper limit. Can't get more than that in any case.

I would suggest everyone to make an excel sheet for their ride's record. It gives a very clear picture of fuel consumption, expenses, service history and purchases made. you can add lots more.
here have a look at my sheet.
