Top speed with just upjetting was 130Kmph on speedo. Need to check current top speed, dont have good roads, so will take some time. Am expecting a loss in top speed, cause after the carb mods, the useable torque is concentrated into the mid end, and bike pulls effortlessly to 110Kmph.

Thanks for the feedback, I was warned by the HSC people that the coil might not take the load... As I travel 200Km (each side) at least twice a month, hence was a worried a bit..

      What bulb you are using???

ZMR can take upto 238W of load IIRC. With stock setup, its close to 190W. You can safely plonk a 55W bulb.
Initially, I used a normal Philips halogen which costs around 80 bucks. Now, I use Philips Xtreme Vision. Costs ~600/-
        Got a $5 head? Get a $5 helmet.

Did other ZMR owner have similar bad experience.
Never run ZMR or any other Fi bike in very low fuel...it will damage the Fuel pump...and without warranty it is a bomb in your pocket...this is a reason Fi bikes have a larger capacity of reserve fuel...they always need at least 2 ltr of fuel in tank....

ARE YOU SURE because when i went to replace the headlight to 55w halogen from stock, mechanic told that the battery will not cause any problem now but the battery life will reduce so i am using stock bulb and avoiding night drives

ZMR alternator is of 232 W...very powerful and it can easily take a load of 55 w on the existing battery...i am using from one year...no issues....

however; suggest to turn off the headlight if in idle mode i.e traffic light..

If drive carefully then why to change the stock bulbs. I am pretty happy but yeah sometime feel that running out of lights.
But is there any bulbs from difft manufacturer which has more light but consume same power.

                    • there were many vibes in my zmr on the left cowl so took it to svc and told them the problem,he told me to replace the cowl blindly as though i am getting the cowl for free so later took it to my mechanic,he just replaced the left indicator and the vibes disappeared but still some vibes are coming from the headlight unit
so dont listen to the svc guys, the best word they know is 'REPLACE' they dont have patience to check the problem.
if any bike has a major problem,i guess they will tell us to replace the bike

In same 35W you can get other manufacture bulbs..light will be little better from the stock bulb..like P200 (old one not P200 NS) bulb which has a white light and has better light...cost Rs 260...

If ZMR has a good option for 55w bulb..then why we not change it and who does not want a better light...

Yes, we can plonk a 55w bulb without a second thought.
Regarding the stock bulb, you'll feel lack of light once you hit the highway at night.

The 35w stock is ok ok types in city, but is horrible on highways.

did you feel the difference in the 55w bulb because i remember my mechanic also said that there will be no difference if i put 55w halogen because it will not be supplied with enough power and it will be same as 35w bulb and did you do any modifications and which bulb are you using

                                No modifications required. All stock.
I beg to differ from your mechanic, the full load that the alternator can take in ZMR is approx 232W or somewhere close to 238W, but with stock components, max load is only 188-190W. That gives you 40W to play with.
I used Philips Halogen 55W (normal ones, 80 INR a piece) earlier. Moved to Philips Xtreme Vision 55W of late.

Saying that difference is quite noticeable would be an understatement.
