    The rev Limiter in ZMA is at 9,500 RPM
    Even the upgraded 233cc ZMA is unable to touch this limit on the 5th gear in ZMA.
    Maybe downhill it will be possible..

      Upgraded 233cc ZMA? When did that happen?

      • Can p220 rvm's be fitted onto zmr?

        Comment

        • Yesterday I changed my rear sprocket to 36teeth from p220,while still using Karizma chain, although one link had to be removed from it. Acceleration is obviously reduced, but not so much. Bike still has the initial pull, but ride is more smooth now, I mean in city as well on highway.
          I took a ride of 167km after resprocketing with crowded towns, SH and NH. Believe me this mod is worth the effort if U use your zmr for more than just city commuting.

          In 5thgear:
          @6000rpm speed is 103 or 104.
          @7000rpm speed is 121 or 122.

          Top speed has not increased, but it is attainable at low rpm now.

But in new generation bikes 1st,2nd and 3rd are hopelessly short and as a result the 4th and 5th are hopelessly tall. Even SAMURAI, MAX 100 i have seen hit rev limiter in 4th gear.

            It will work even better if the nut has lost groove. Completely open the bolt and apply it on threads and then re-fit.
            max100 doesn't have tachometer, so how U knew that it hits red line?

              Guess you need to visit the ZMA thread more often . It's ACS sirs ride, running on a P220 2ns os piston.

              yes sir, that's what I believed my zma used to rev till 9.6k when it was new, after the first intake mode it went upto 9.8k,now I don't rev the bike in idle, cause I've read that it can accelerate the con rod bearing wear. And I believe you remember that my bike has started a habit of slipping back to neutral in 2nd gear around 8~9k rpm and when that happens I've noticed that the rpm shoots uptill 10+k, it's confusing but happens.

              Not sure about downhill. But I can touch 9~9.5k in final gear, what I've come to understand is that if we try to rev till 9.5k in final gear, the bike'll die around 8.5k, so what I do is I rev upto the hard limiter in 3rd then shift to 4th and as soon as the speedo crosses 120k then keep it gunned down for a while and when the speedo crosses 140k the tacho will show just above 9.5k

              And it's no surprise the 233cc block can't touch the rev limiter. I hope you get my point.

                Not the red line but the rev limiter. When you hit the rev limiter, your bike will jerk like bike is missing spark. I have seen it couple of times. And it is well known rev limiter is in red line.

                    Maybe you're not employing the proper technique. Maybe the weight transfer isn't right.
                    P.S - Do these stunts with all riding gears on.

                      But one thing i need to say that i applied the same technique for stoppie on yamaha Fz and TVS Apache and both of them went well
                      Dont you feel like the weight distribution of the bike prevent in pulling up stunts?

                        If you go by weight distribution then zmr has lots of weight on the front than the rear.. so a stoppie should be easy but even i have never managed to it and so i've stopped trying also.. And the to see the top speed, select a good stretch of road... Mine never crossed 120kmph.. But when i got a perfect stretch with no ups or downs, i tried and it went to 132kmph without pillion.. Would have been more but traffic was ahead of me.. And in the stretch where i ripped, there was o traffic.. If it were there then definately i would not have ripped and neither should you..

                          Thanks! That worked. I have booked the RED one today. Expecting delivery in about 10 days.

                          Need inputs on teflon coating and the remote lock. Dealer suggested them both (not free).

                            Congo!! Welcome to the herd.. Dunno about teflon but do get the remote lock.. But look into it that it does not have a 'remote start' option.. Cause mine had it and believe it or not, accidentally the bike used to start. Whenever the button got pressed in the pocket.. So be careful..

                                To ensure top speed:

                                1. Cleaned Chain
