Guys, please refrain from getting a teflon coat done at the SVC. Its not a proper teflon coat that's being done. SImpl waste of money. Get yourself :-
1. A bottle of car shampoo
2. A wax polish
Wash your bike once a week and polish thereafter. I bet it'll give the so-called-teflon-coated bikes a run for their money.
Regarding remote locks, again I have my reservations. If you live in an area where there are lot of kids, then you'll be a pissed guy. They'd hit the bike and run away. We'd to remove the remote lock from our car due to this!
(though it has been plonked back now)
Rather, get yourself a disc lock.
If you've the money, go for XENA systems, else get a good quality local one. I remember seeing a few models for around 2.5k sometime last year.
Also, to ensure maximum mileage for your chain/sprocket; clean and lube them every 800-1000 kms.Got a $5 head? Get a $5 helmet.

Expirence with my left RVM... It got loosen each and everytime I tightened it but couldn't find a solution to it... The went to service centre and they suggested me to to the lathe shop and get the thread of the elnake nut holder remounted and it was done and then its working wonder now...Originally posted by abhi7013 View Post

Meet Last week with the HM engineer for the issue in my ZMR...cold start and engine noise....He was not found any problem in cold start ..says its normal...even i show him the video i made for Cold start....in his observation its fine...
They fix the issue of engine noise due to Tapped was loose...The person who used to service my ZMR was absent on that day...
I told him other problem in details; but he does not provide any satisfactory solution nor even ride my zmr to inspect the problem...anyway came back office ride for 30 Km...bike noise was gone and pickup was increased...
but when i ride in night going back to home...engine noise again increased...seems tapped loose again...how could tapped that has been fixed in morning loose again in evening?
Given bike to SVC again tomorrow evening...lets see what come up....Comment

They're made compulsory for a reason. In the event of an accident, you should be safe. I have 2 riding jackets - one for daily use and another for touring. Same is the case with helmets. I wear my jacket/gloves and helmet daily for office commuting as well. I use the knee guard only for touring though.Originally posted by abhi7013 View Post

On this REMOTE Lock I would advise the one I am using which is AUTOCOP.
Though expensive at 1900 INR currently but have not faced a single issue in the last 30 Months
And it does not activate with mere pushing....
Logic is simple when people are willing to steal they will have to disengage Main or Side Stand.
Yes then only it gets activated.34567 kms and ZMR sold :(

Noob question.
Ok. I have a basic question.
Why is it scary taking corners in 5th gear at x kmph whereas doing the same thing at same speeds in 4th gear seems assuring?
(Talking about cornering at around 4.3k RPM in 5th gear. Was left scared when I attempted a corner @70 kmph in 5th. Have done the same corner in 4th at 65-70 kmph, but never felt so.)Got a $5 head? Get a $5 helmet.
