They do it all the time. Hence, I prefer staying there on his head even if means standing for a couple of hours. I have seen them rev the nuts out of others' bikes.
      Got a $5 head? Get a $5 helmet.

Also you get to learn more about your bike
Also, one doubt. Are HIDs the only compatible ones in a projector? I want to retain the projector but need a reliable hid bulb. Not chinese. Cause i have the same and its not working. No branded hids? Or other compatible ones other than hid like you find in cars? rreneav1987, help please!

I am not sure as the projectors are meant only for single beam and the H4 projectors use a solenoid motor to switch between high beam and low beam.. i.e it blocks part of the beam when in low beam and when you switch to high beam, the full beam is allowed to pass thru.. you can definitely do a jugaad and get it done. But the illumination cannot be guaranteed

Using hid's without a projects would produce too much glare for the oncoming traffic and this could prove dangerous at times.
Also, the light will just scatter in directions and thus not providing the required results.

              Ride safe and have fun.

He wants to use HID inside the projector..

Abhi. You have another option of getting a HID projector bulb (branded one) which might fit.. but make sure you get the proper size.. which will always be a question.. again, that will be a trial and error..

I dont find projectors bright.. i dont like yhe chinese HID i am using right now. It is greenish in color and i wanted Yellowish white (4300K)

Will first fix my bike and then get a branded HID for my bike

If you can fjnd a pulsar 220 headlight.. remove the solenoidal reflector and projector and fit it in the ZMR headloght assembly.. i will attach the wiring diagram for the same ( to convert h4 to h7)

                    P220's solenoidal reflector

                    P220's projector

                    Wiring diagram..

Connect the projector to low beam and solenoidal reflector to high beam.. it will be the perfect lighting a ZMR can have.

Low beam on a p150/180 with the above setup

High beam on a p150/180 with the above setup

                      +1 to RJ.

Added to that, all HIDs available in India (genuine/Chinese) are suited only for right lane driving (like US). You get a beam cut off on the right. But since we drive/ride on the left side of the road, the cutoff should be left. Sadly, only made in India cars (for India) have the feature. Rest HIDs are imported from China/US (budget-wise) and they cater to their markets.

Well, my projector has a solenoid for the beams. I just want to replace the existing chinese hid with a good quality one.
Btw, is there space in the zmr headlight assembly to fit both the reflector and the projector? That is what you meant rite?

Well. I already mentioned about the HID part.. you will need to get a proper size..

Well, size is no matter cause ill take the projector with me to the shop to see if it fits. The current one is smaller, hence changing. Any idea about branded hid? Chinese are cheap. As you said, yours has a bit of green, mine has s bit of blue, though it is rated 4300k.

Branded HID? In India? I doubt it.. most of the Indian projectors make use of H7 socket.. even the Thunder bird comes with H7..

Check autotrends.in or google it. You might find it on ebay.com or ebay.uk but the money spent on it is not worth it if you ask me..
