There will be a slight humming noise from left side of the bike for few seconds (near the tank) when you switch the key to on position, that's the fuel pump pulling the petrol (normal nothing to worry).
And if you are refering to a constant Humming sound while the engine is running then its the fuel pump at work ( it's normal ,nothing to worry).

Avoid pressure washing the bike. It maybe sand particles on the disc as well. Also, lube your chain. A dry chain makes noises.Originally posted by vinodksf View PostToday i have washed my zmr v2. 0..... After it gets dry. Nope! It will deflate immediately. I'd never advice anyone to use *any* TT tire as TL. Zapper Q is a TT tire.Originally posted by CrossWind View PostDoes this tyre has properties of that of a tubeless tyre I.e.maintaining air pressure until the nail etc is removed when used as a tubeless tyre. Re: Hero Honda Karizma ZMR
I am using it as tubeless and As far as i see or experienced with it. the tyre works as a tubeless.. when i used Michelin Sirac street as TubeLess, the tire came out of the wheels when i was doing 50ish and the air pressure suddenly reduced to zero.. but on Zapper Q, the tire sticked to the wheels even with zero pressure.. never had an experience with nail stuck to the tyreOriginally posted by CrossWind View PostDoes this tyre has properties of that of a tubeless tyre I.e.maintaining air pressure until the nail etc is removed when used as a tubeless tyre. It never deflate immediately for me. I had a flat tyre 3 times and the air stayed. Atleast minimum air stayed.. as in without any nail.. this is how the tubeless tires work..Originally posted by Divya Sharan View PostAvoid pressure washing the bike. Hero Honda Karizma ZMR
Drove to Puducherry and back after a long time. Bike did well. I noticed 2 things. At 5000 rpm, it can do 79 kmph. While at 6000 it can only do till 94 kmph. I didn't go much beyond that. I was hoping it would reach 6 x 16 = 96 kmph. But it did only 94. Is this acceptable behavior or is my bike performing below expectations at higher rpms? Ride quality was alright for me.
Clicked a few pics on the way back on NH45 near Chengalpet. I waxed my bike specially for this drive. I also removed the silencer cover as those scratches on it were bothering me and I couldn't get a replacement.

If there's a problem, it has to be the clutch plates..Originally posted by sarkartheruler View PostDrove to Puducherry and back after a long time. Bike did well. I noticed 2 things. Re: Hero Honda Karizma ZMR
Ok, there could be various possible reasons behind this and the main reasons could be the spark plug, dirty air filter, tire pressure.. it is pretty normal if the speed difference is negligible.. if the bike is doing 80ish instead of 90ish, then it would be the clutch plates being the culprit..Originally posted by sarkartheruler View PostDrove to Puducherry and back after a long time. in my case, the bike was doing normal speeds but the acceleration was affected especially after the engine heats up.. the culprit was the worn out clutch plates..Splendor - 2k to 2006

I replaced the spark plug and air filter myself recently only. All stock. Stock oil as well. Even topped up the tires with nitrogen just before this trip. As my bike has run only 13.5K, I think the cutch plates would be in good condition.Originally posted by rreneav1987 View PostOk, there could be various possible reasons behind this and the main reasons could be the spark plug, dirty air filter, tire pressure.. it is pretty normal if the speed difference is negligible.. if the bike is doing 80ish instead of 90ish, then it would be the clutch plates being the culprit..

So my question is does your bike reach 96 kmph at exactly 6000 rpm? Mine gets to 91 at 6000 rpm and then slowly moves up to 94 kmph. For 95 kmph it requires beyond 6000.
