In bangalore the situation is the same.
White and yellow waiting period is 3 months though i felt a little prodding and smooth talk it could have been earlier.
But the other colours waiting period is aroind a month i guess.
BTW: I met a ZMA -R owner who said his friend got ZMR deliverd in two days from mysore. but i am not sure.. of that.
I believe in bangalore more than 150 have been already booked, when i last enquired

So, i have completed 2000 Kilometers for now. Discussed the positives already. For the list of problems:
1. Fairing Vibration - A lot! They removed the fairing and refitted it - Still the same
2. Service - As usual- Change Engine Oil , Wash the Bike - Service Over!!
3. Availability of parts - A big question mark. Just casually asked about replacement of parts if on a accident - they claim a minimum of 180 days for the parts to arrive
----
Apart from this, Bike is awesome to ride, giving me a mileage of 40+ in city. Finding it very difficult to clean the bike everyday, takes ateast 30 minutes to clean the bike fully
Would be changing over to Phillips Night Vision headlight bulbs , Stock is really of no use!
So, Any one else with the heavy fairing vibration issue? how to get it sorted?Photo Gallery[/B]

Thats one issue i hate a lot for even my bike (220Originally posted by Ananth View PostFor the list of problems:

), what part of the fairing vibrates? Does it make any resonance sound too because that irritates a lot. I didnt expect ZMR's fairing to make noise, its very well built but then if vibes are there you should contact HH directly.

, one will forget his bike by that time. Thats almost similar to getting some R1 parts from abroad. Even 30 days is a lot and he is talking of 180 days, HH will have to work fast on deliveries and spares of ZMR. I hope this 180 day thing is limited to your SVC only.

i have no issues with fairing vibs etc[pls see to svc again...there must be a minor issue regarding this]....and im too getting 40-44 kmpl.Originally posted by Ananth View PostSo, i have completed 2000 Kilometers for now. Discussed the positives already. For the list of problems:

and about the headlights im too thinking too upgrade it...at least 55 w.
the horns are fine....im also installing these horns in my zma-r also.
and about spare parts, in delhi they are easily available now, today i have ordered the horns and they will be there by monday.
and yes its a damn difficult to clean it thoroughly.....so i keep it covered when not in use/

So, The Bike came home just around a month back. Have covered 3050 Kilometers in it. Serviced it thrice., at 500, 1800 & 2700 Kms.
Total expense for servicing: 225 + 235 + 254 (Engine Oil + Consumables) = Rs.714
Total petrol consumed = 92 litres.
Average Fuel Efficiency = Around 33 kmpl
I did a Chennai - Bangalore - Chennai run this weekend, covered 1000 kilometers in 3 days.. did some good speeds (100 - 120) constantly. Covered the return leg, Bangalore to Chennai (350 Kilometers) in 4.5 hours. Surprisingly i received a efficiency of 40 Kmpl!! So, The efficiency increases with servicing / regular maintenance.
Availability of Spares is still a thing to worry and Service back up has improved. All mechanics have been sent for a special training camp for a week for servicing the ZMR.
Fairing vibrations has reduced after service, but the chain needs to be tightened atleast every 500 kilometers. I found some noise from the rear every time i applied the brakes / prolonged ride with the clutches pressed.
I did not find any issues with the tyre this time (100% 4 lane roads though) Stability at high speeds (above 100) is excellent with normal wind conditions. The Bike rattles at heavy cross winds and maintaining 90+ is difficult. Could not maintain 100+ on the elevated expressway in Bangalore, due to very heavy cross winds.
Front disk is very much impressive and rear disk needs to be checked for efficiency. Not sure what the problem is, but some how i am feeling as though the Rear disk is not effective at all, may also be because i use a lot of front disk than the rear.
RTMI - Real Time Mileage Indicator is really useless and just a marketing gimmick. It just throws up garbage value based on your last few seconds of riding pattern, really not useful for us.
And lastly, there are a lot of vibrations past 7k RPM. Its smooth even at 125 kmph, but a lot of vibrations persists and hence i try to keep it around 6 - 7k RPM all the time. Thats it for now, will update the improvements on the ride a little later

It would be pretty difficult to find out how good the rear disc really is...this is because the bike has most of the weight on the front half...so while braking the front tyre has more load and thus gets more friction to stop.Originally posted by Ananth View PostFront disk is very much impressive and rear disk needs to be checked for efficiency. On the other the rear gets lesser load under braking which causes it to give you less response than expected.
you can try the way I tried it once.
if possible...try sitting on the rear seat while riding alone...and then try to feel how the rear break respons.
you might feel clumsey
but I was pretty satisfied after trying it on my R15
Just because you haven't seen it doesnt mean its impossible...expect the unexpected.
