How does that affect the gearing? I am not aware of this..

I don't think its manufacturing defect.. how old is your bike ?..do you use rare brake more than front? ...it was fine till 2.2 Years.. its just 3 month before i noticed it..

How old is your bike mate?? Could be the swing arm bushes needs replacement or the rubber things (dont know recollect the name) that fits with the alloy and the rear wheel holder..

A too tight chain will load the counter shaft and will not let the gear to change as gear shifting happens when the load on gears is released. This principle is used for clutchless shifting of gears.

A too tight chain will give the same effect as changing gears without closing the throttle.

Guys, need some inputs here. My bike intermittently lights up the engine light when cranked up. Idle rpm increases to 2k for 2-3 sec and then settles down. No issues in starting/riding though. What is happening?

P.S - I let the full sequence of starting complete after switching on the ignition before cranking.

Did the bike got any huge impact in potholes? I suspect your swing arm got misaligned. Check it.

Most of the times, it is the rear fender that is bent, not the wheel or any other part. If your chassis or wheel was misaligned like that, the bike would not go at a straight line. It is not a manufacturing defect but a design fault.
                                I am back!
