You can easily get 50kmpl on highway with sane riding .. i don't know about others but i get 50+ on highway with constant 60-70 km/hr.
Always Lube chain before going on long drive & Check tire pressure

Yes, I got 57+ kmph on a winter morning ride at speeds of 70-80 kmph on an average. On hotter days, it stays at 51-52 kmpl. Touching 100+ speeds brings it down to higher 40s.

Thought of changing the alloy under insurance but the my mechanic got it fixed from a local wheel shop including the alloy colour as the heating and alignment of alloys lead to discolour. Cost me around 500-600 /-

Things are pretty well since then but from then I maintain a higher air pressure in both wheels as this will reduce the chances of the occurrence all over again.
Sorry to hear that it happened to you as well.

I could not swerve out of the way on time. Hence both the alloys got damaged.

Front alloy got cracked however the rear alloy got bent at one point. I'll ask my mechanic if he can fix that.

          Thanks for the suggestion!

Guys another issue i forgot to post regarding my zmr.....when the engine is hot after say around 5-6kms.....
When i release the throttle to zero after revving, the engine rpm comes down veryy slowly....and at timez gets stuck at 2k rpm if i have my clutch pressed...then when i release my clutch the rpm settles to 1-1.5k....!!!
Any reason why this is happening.....?

I never ever got more than 41kms/l in city ride, I am around 70-80Kms/hr. In highways around 40Kms/l, I am around 90-100Kms/hr irrespective of the time and condition of the day. I have traveled (starting time) as early as 4 o clock in the morning, 1 in the hot noon, 4 in the evening and also 7 at night. My maximum Kms are 450Kms a day.

At what rpm do you shift??
It depends on how you accelerate also.. do you accelerate progressively? sudden bursts won't give you mileage..

I upshift at 4.5-5k rpm and on an average I get 45kmpl while maintaining 80-85kmph highway riding..

No issues with the clutch divya....can it be a relation to the clutch plates? Coz the clutch has gone hard ...changed my cable too a few months ago but stil issue persists....

3.5k kms or #days. Ur forgetting the #days. U can't delay the #days even if u haven't ridden the kms. The person just before me in the queue was denied 4th servicing as he was over 20 days due past the interval of 100 days. He had to do the 5th servicing inspite of many requests.

Guys, is it bcoz of the hot weather or what, I'm getting way lesser fe nowadays. Fuel seems to be evaporating in thin air in no time at all. I fill Rs. 200/- everytime & it barely lasts a 100kms. I dunno wht is happening !!! Maybe its due to the hot weather...

Possible. But please get the accelerator cables A and B inspected for wear too. They are known to cause lazy rev drops.
Take the A and B diagnosis before you touch the plates.

Don't exactly remember the rpm reading, but never crossed 4.5k while shifting if not lower for lower gears.. May be something else..

Maybe because you kept using the same spark plug for 26k kms. It's spark intensity would have worsened leading to higher fuel consumption.
Check over few full tanks now.

First service is anywhere between 500-750kms and second service is between 3000-3500kms.. After second service, the interval period is every 3k kms, or as you said 100 days from the date of previous service..

So how come you got 3rd service done at 3.5k kms only?? Please explain

Edit- are you saying you haven't ridden the bike for so long that you had to get 3rd service done at 3.5k kms itself??

Happened once for me recently during the last tank fill.. Fuel just vanished even though I used a decent bike cover. But it was kept outdoors most of the time..
Mileage I had gotten then was around 36kmpl only..
