I guess you should read this LS2 Helmets India - Genuine or Fake ..?? There is no DOT certified LS2 available for sale in INDIA. only ECE certified LS2 is available and Laxmi Automobiles is the only Authorised Distributor. And here is the Dealers list from their site.
Laxmi Automobiles - Authorised Distributors for LS2 Products in India

So if you got from scooters spares, then yours is genuine one. Do some research before buying or coming to conclusion. Buying a helmet knowing that its fake is not at all good.

The older LS2 Helmets used to come with a DoT certification, and they were priced a bunch.
Those helmets' production was stopped because they were hard to source.

^^ The seller (scooter spares), he himself told me that its a fake one as it comes with a mere sticker, without any embossing.

I guess still you didn't read the xbhp link... LS2 sold in india are manufactured in asia for coat cutting and ECE sticker is not embossed because it will increase the price. So you wont get the quality of imported LS2 ones but these are genuine. Those DOT certified are imported ones and noone is importing now. Please read and don't stick to your point. Everything is mentioned clearly in that link.

PS : to make it simple for you, these are not original LS2 that you get abroad with DOT certification. These are manufactured in asia with ECE certification for cost cutting, since importing will add duties.

When you can emboss that amount of graphics on a helmet, why not emboss a certification? Its going to cost just about the same. This was from that xbhp thread.

P.s I think we are going OT.

its not about spoiling this ownership thread brothers but its about getting more minds in the "Safety gears" related thread to get better clarifications:-)

Anyway...guys need some assistance...Since a few days im feeling a change in the feel of my ZMR....!! Its engine seems to be running a little harshly..(minor increase in engine noise)....it also seems to be pulling its self (refrains from moving smoothly) after i reach the 80kmph mark on top gear, the clutch has become a little hard to be pulled and the punch during pick up has been negatively affected too.

I have thought of getting the clutch plates, pressure plates changed.....will also install a new clutch wire and replace my current NGK G-Power spark plug.

PS:Oil grade that ive been using is FS 10W40 and have been religiously changing it within stipulated intervals.
Bike is over 3.5 years old...with 42500kms on the odo.

                    Query List:
                    1. I am a little hesitant to get the clutch n pressure plates replaced.....have the fear of loosing the originality of the bike once i fiddle with the engine..!! what shall i do?
                    2. Shall i continue with NGK G-Power or should i shift to NGK_Iridium?
                    3. Any other tweek that i can do to get my engine in good health?
                    Regards-

                      1. Get genuine pressure+clutch plates and replace them. Do not touch any other components if they are fine. No compromise on originality!
                      2. NGK Iridium plugs aren't meant for mopeds. Period.
                      3. After the clutch overhaul, use a mineral oil for sometime and see if you see negativities still. You can revert back to FS later.

That seems expensive. Can anyone tell me if insurance can be availed in such a situation?

I had a similar accident but the pothole was filled with rain water. I had a bend in my front alloy leading to continuous air loss (say in 3-4 hrs) and luckily nothing happened to my rear one as I swerve out of it. Thought of changing the alloy under insurance but the my mechanic got it fixed from a local wheel shop including the alloy colour as the heating and alignment of alloys lead to discolour. Cost me around 500-600 /-

Things are pretty well since then but from then I maintain a higher air pressure in both wheels as this will reduce the chances of the occurrence all over again.

Just came from my 3rd servicing @ 3,500km. Stopped doing my highway rides due to spiralling oil prices. All the petrol pumps seem to giv less petrol nowadays. Due u guys hv the same problem. OR my bike is giving less fe??

Btw the bike has become incredibly smooooooth now !!!!!!!!!!!! Its awesome to ride the bike now. Butter smooth... I can finally say dat I'm in love wid ZMR after riding the bike today. Some pics from the service bay.
