      • My ZMR disc pads are worn out both front(276 mm) and rear(240 mm).
Don't want to buy the original ones that cost soooo much (Rs. 2300 + 1050) & also don't want to go for local ones from ASK & ANL.

I think Apache RTR (270 mm) Front disc pads are direct fit for front (Rs. 400) & Unicorn Dazzler (220 mm) rear ones for rear.....
Can anyone confirm this??ESPECIALLY FOR THE REAR ONES!

Unicorn (240 mm) Front ones can't be used as ZMR's front disc pad

          • Today I went to Hero Honda dealership and showed them the problem of the discs making noise and locking up. They keep blaming dust saying due to dust accumulation the noise comes. Is this true?

Yes, there are chances of getting screeching noise when dust is accumulated.

              • changed the oil to motul 5100 15w50 semi synthetic. initially my bike used to run and now she is gliding.

                +ve
gear shift is now much more smooth.
the harshness of engine when hot is completely vanished
even after thrashing the bike, engine is too much smooth and no sign of harshness
                vibes reduced
                noise drastically reduced

                -ve
experienced slight reduce in pickup due to thick oil
may be top end also suffered. (have to confirm this).
                had to buy 2 liters

                im too happy.

yeah accumulation of dust can also be one of the reason behind that screeching sound from disc.

But why is it affecting the braking. Wheels locking on and rear tyres screeching and bike stepping out of line.

Thats bcz the rear tyre is not upto mark !! It has pathetic road grip !! Provided you are using stock tyres or any hard compound tyres.

Apart from that, you need to change your braking habit a bit. Use 60% front and 40% rear. That should solve your problem. If you rely completely on rear there is no way to avoid skidding or use engine braking + rear brake (though not recommended at high speeds).

                              • ZMR Stock Bulb Replacement

                                Hi Friends..

I'm planning to change my ZMR stock bulb as it is not very powerful. Can some one suggest me a good one in a decent price range... I'm interested in a direct fitment bulb rather than a HID model.

I remember reading about Osram and Philips models.. Could you please tell me the exact model name so that I can get it for my ZMR.

ps: I read through around 100 pages but couldn't find that page about bulb replacement
