Yesterday, I got full tank worth fuel. Refilled for 1005 rupees. I had been riding in reserve for 60 odd kms (after the last bar blinks). Made a small calculation:

    Fuel refilled = 1005 rupees/75.2 rupees per liter = 13.36 L
Assuming a city mileage of 42 kmpl, I had run 60 km in reserve, meaning 1.4L (approx) were used.
    Total tank capacity = 16L

    16L - 13.36L = 2.64L --> petrol unused until full tank was done.

This proves that we have (1.4 + 2.6 =) 4L petrol in the tank in reserve, or when the last bar starts blinking.
4litres reserve? Thats why am able to ride so much even if bar is blinking. Actually its pretty good that it warns us with 4litres still in it.

Regarding mud guard being mis aligned, that's not the case with me. Tail lamp and mud guard are perfect. Its just the wheel.

True, but the rule of thumb is to never let the tank go dry or very low on fuel else the FI would go bonkers. 50kms after the last bar should see you at the petrol bunk.

In ZMR the fuel pump sits outside the fuel tank and running the tank low in fuel will not harm the fuel pump.

A friend is confused between ZMR and Pulsar 200NS. What you guys suggest? He is 5"10, 75KG weight, mixed riding both on highways and city. Previous bike was a Pulsar 150.

Both are totally different. Only way he can decide is by taking a TD. I find zmr more comfortable but when I had ridden ns, its comfort was not as much as zmr. But handling is good in ns. If he likes a stress-free fuel efficient bike with higher cc and no compromise on mileage then he can go for the sports tourer-zmr. If he needs a quick, responsive bike with good handling, then its ns. But he has to do a TD.

Hello, guys i have been trying to gather as much knowledge on the ZMR as possible, since i am trying to look for a replacement for my Suzuki GS. Currently shortlisted 2 bikes CBR150 and the ZMR.

I am generally a sedate driver, occasionally going for spirited rides. My daily commute is itself 100Kms (Delhi-Gurgoan), so looking for a bike that can take that kind of beating everyday. ZMR looks a very clean bike(in terms of overall package), but my only concern is its weight. Since my GS weighs 150kgs, i want to know is it ok to go for ZMR with almost 160kgs, is it nimble enough to ride through traffic.

From what i could gather ZMR gives a Eco of 45kmpl which is pretty good, considering the fuel prices (anything i can save is good). How is the spares parts availability and Spares costs? Since i had some issues with suzuki when it came to availability of spares.

Not posting in the What bike section since i know atleast 2 options from which i have to choose

Spare availability is good here in Bangalore. Almost all parts were available when I had to replace few.

Speaking of handling, both cbr and zmr have a fairing due to which you'll get a bit confused while maneuvering the bike in traffic. That is expected but within few weeks you'll get used to it like how we have. Spare costs are average. Neither too high nor too low. But break pads are on the higher side as conpared to other bikes. I guess that's due to quality.. But do not bother about the weight. Its only when your pushing your bike that you feel it. But when the engine is on you'll never know the weight. It pulls itself effortlessly. In 100kms of your commute I assume you get stretches of empty roads? If so then you can expect higher economy than 45kmpl. Considering the engine being stress free and the riding position, 100kms is easily manageable by the bike. Depends on you.. Decide after a test drive.

I myself had the same doubt for a while rode them both and I spotted some stuff
The 200NS has a lot of power and it felt really exciting but on top gear I felt some vibrations from 55 to 75 later the vibration disappear and it will not hesitate to go all the way upto 140 but the ride beyond 130 becomes very unstable and have to handle it very stiffly when compared to the ZMR it does not make you feel a lot of power and it is also kind of slow to reach the top end but still its completely under control at the top end, the RVM tend to vibrate a lot and are practically useless beyond 90kmph. The engine refinement of 200NS is very good when compared to the other pulsars but still it cannot be compared to the Honda engine. If what you want he wants is stress free riding and a comfortable touring he needs to pick ZMR. If he wants to have something like a powerful sports bike he had to pick 200NS, I heard rumors about 200SS [a fully faired 200NS with FI] which is about to be released by the end of this year with a full fairing and FI I assume the top end would be around 160~170 do consider that too.

No issues of weight as such. you will not face much problems. And spare parts are available easily in Delhi/NCR as you have options of both going to delhi or gurgaon. go for it.

He told me that a fall could prove to be really really costly in a ZMR? How much this fact holds true, can you give a fair idea of how much does the fairing cost in a ZMR? He was telling me the front visor itself cost a bomb

The fiber parts are little on higher side but same thing stands for CBR as well. I mean, any bike's would get damaged if it falls with some impact. Other than that parts like brake pads seems to be expensive but they are of great quality and we also have equivalent alternatives which can do the job quite well and cost much less then OEM parts. If you are lucky to find a shop which sells OEM hero parts then you can get same parts for less price than in service centre.

Bro, can you please clarify on the following questions..
                              1. Are you a die hard fan of fully faired bikes ? This means a lot coz it would obviously narrow down your choices..
                              2. What is your take on mileage ?
                              3. Does more n more power/pull excites you ? To be particular pull, coz top end is kinda a fancy stuff in daily life..
                              4. what is ur max budget ?

I have stayed in delhi ncr area for some time & i know the traffic conditions even on the highway... you need a bike which pulls effortlessly in such heavy traffic & wont tire you..

CBR150 is no way a bike to spend on.. It doesnt really have anything brilliant in offer.. CBR250 may have its own issues, but the damn bike pulls brilliantly for sure & is also better looking.. infact the Repsol edition looks stunning...

Ok. The fairing of the zmr is pretty strong and it can take on hitz but you will end up scratching it.. if at all it breaks.. you will have to soend some 5000/- roughly for the front fairing.. i think thats a decent amount and the headlight assembly will cost u 1500.. the visor is pretty strong too.. i only had issues with the part where the visor fits.. since in Delhi.. you will easily get the spares
