The tank pad is a bit on the costlier side, but it's of a very good quality. Got it from Planet DSG.

      Tankpads

      Headlight setup:-

Pilot lamps - 20 SMD LED T10 type (Any car accessories shop/eBay)
Headlamp - Osram Night Breaker 55W
      Got a $5 head? Get a $5 helmet.

And one more thing, everytime you replace the brake pads/change the grade of brake oil; the old oil MUST entirely be flushed out and then brakes must be properly bled!
i will check it but i am looking for an upsize
a 110 section tubeless tire as i feel 100 is very thin profile for zmr
Is bleeding the brake oil a DIY thing, if yes please share the steps

Its a DIY thing if you have the right tools and temperament (read patience) because it may take time.

Go through these to understand the process. Its easy if understood and life threatening otherwise.

              Most probably.

The Brake Fluids are available in various colours like Brake Fluid DOT 3 is available in clear, Pale Yellow, Blue & Crimson Red colour, similarly brake fluid DOT 4 is available in Clear, Pale Yellow & Crimson Red colour, brake fluid DOT 5.1 is available Clear, Pale Yellow & Blue colour. Brake Fluid DOT 5 is available in Purple & Violet colour so colour is not a criteria to distinguish between the different types of brake fluids. The color is added in brake fluid to detect the leakage easily and color does not effect the quality of brake fluid.

                    • problems in my zmr

                      hello guys,
i bought a used zmr (2010-june, done 18k kms) last week and facing some issues, i previously owned a unicorn and haven't ridden a zmr before,
so please help me solve these issues and support my decision of buying zmr.
                      1) poor performance-
compared to my uni pickup and performance is very bad,
                      2) engine noise-
in 1st gear can't rev above 2.5k rpm , engine gets very noisy and vibes are unbearable. while cruising at 80 in 5500 rpm noise subsides and engine becomes
smoother, though slight tappet noise is audible
                      3) engine heat-
i know its common in zmr but still engine gets heated with in riding 20 kms or half an hr in traffic, its the engine smell which is bothering me
                      4) chain noise-
my mech changed only the front sprocket as the chain and rear sprocket was in good condition, but i feel its not right as it causes uneven wear
of the teeth and the chain. the noise still persists
                      5) clutch slip-
while engaging 1st gear there is a hard noise and the clutch slips during disengaging the clutch, i could do only 105 at 6500-7000 rpm.

as i's aware of the pros n cons of zmr and following this thread for quite a long time i took some measures to solve my problems-
                      1) changed the cluch plates, clutch housing assy, reset clutch springs ( done in asc)
                      2) changed engine oil to shell ss
                      3) changed wheel rubber bushes ( near rear sprocket)
                      4) cleaned air filter and spark plug
                      5) changed front sprocket

sill m not satisfied with my bikes performance, discover, platinas, splendors zoom past me in signals.
psr sir plz help me solve these issues, divya i hope u stay near by mathikere why don't we catch up sometime and let me test ride your bike once

How's the rear sprocket n chain. It's advised to replace the entire assembly at once. Check for vibes from engine mounts and fairing. Yes, i stay near Sanjay nagar. Let's meet.

                          • Guys I had a fall today and I am safe now but my ZMR has taken all the beating.Because of the four high beam light of bus,I was completely blinded and had to move to extreme right of road (single lane). The edge of the road was about 3 feat high and since it was drizzling, lost control of bike completely and I was dragged along with bike till center of road.Entire Right side front fiber part has got scrapped, silencer is bent and its cover is also bent, rear brake pedal is beyond recognition, right handle bar weight, right mirror, front brake lever got scratched.Din't feel any vibrations but felt that, right handle bar has slipped in (no bends visible). Will go to SVC tomorrow and claim insurance.Any idea about how much the above mentioned parts cost???

My kind request to all who are in this form,Please help if anybody is fallen in the road due to accident.Really felt bad when few car and bikes just went even without stopping.Don't understand when these people will learn to help others..

                            • @ ahmed- i feel bike's performance is not wat it should be, chain noise still exists, engine heating up soon, engine noise and vibes from the fairing

@ divya- rear sprocket is 70% ok , i feel chain is the culprit, but as u old the whole kit has to be changed may be that will suffice the noise but
wat about performance? n m just 1 week old with the bike so m not able to identify where the vibes are coming from

Regarding the smell, its the oil leaking out of the cylinder head. When it drips on the hot silencer, you get the smelk. Check once if there's leakage. Regarding performance do you mean the acceleration is slow? I'd suggest you to td another zmr. You'll know to what extent your bike is lagging
