ZMR Mumbai G2G

Calling all ZMR owners this sunday 31st Oct'10 at 8am,

For an in-city meet in Mumbai in any of the following places mentioned below:

1) Bandra Reclamation
2) Hiranandani Estate, GB Rd, Thane
3) Inorbit Mall, Vashi

ZMR meet to know each other and of course have a look and each others ZMR

and also check out options to get best of our bikes.

Of course to ride together in city. So quickly add your name in the list

I had a pillion weighting around 85kg and i maintained 95+..

It was a night ride on NH2 (under GQ), road was dark, it was drizzling through out the trip, and weather was damm cold..

* We got over all mileage of <25kpml
* Stock lights were good for nothing.. It was hard to detect if its on or not. Rode most of the time while pressing the pass switch..
* Stock engine oil (which was new for the trip) sucked big time.. Within 100kms (at panagarh) bike was really harsh and vibrating a lot.

* Meter was awesome.. had a P220 with us which does 152 as top, when compared side by side, at P220 doing 40 -> ZMR is 36, at P220 doing 70 -> ZMR doing 63/64.. Percentage of meter error was increasing with higher speed..
* Real time mileage indicator is also great.. 110 -> 23/22, speed at 100 -> 28, speed dropped to 90 -> mileage up there at 30/33

frankly speaking, over all, Stock ZMA feels better to ride than stock ZMR

.. Then again, its just a personal opinion..

yeah ZMR's light isn't good

but i felt that the bike you had wasn't maintained well

Running in was proper as friend is next door.. it happened infront of us, and bike was not ripped before 1000kms, there were one or two speed bursts while in those shorter oil change (bike had 250kms drain interval within 1000kms)

This trip, when we started, the bikes oddo was at 1900kms, so ?? what else could we have done extra ??

we started the trip with a new engine oil (Default HH BPCL one i guess)..

by maintaining i didn't mean by run-in period, i meant like some part of fairing, split handle bar or visor could be a cause of vibration if it wasn't tighten properly..& yeah HH engine oil sucks big time but still 100km is too short for it..mine last nicely for like thousand odd km, i serviced my bike @ 2.5k km n till 4k km it was kind of ok, but now m feeling hardening in gears as my bike is just getting ready for its 3rd service after 5k km..

I didnt compare the vibration with RTR or Pulsar...

But it felt to be engine vibration, I can feel in foot rest and in my butt.. Vibration was something i compared with stock ZMA

till 80/85 odd the bike felt good enough but those liner vibs started to come after that..

Need to get better engine oil for it (planing to get Motul 5100T 15w50 on second service). Planning to switch to iridium also..

even i want to change that engine oil from HH for ZMR, looking for some other options..

Guys, did a short 100 km ride today morning on NH7. Here are some snaps.

Bike maxed out at 119 with a pillion. Is it ok?

One more thing, at around 3.5K RPM, there's a slight vibrating sound from the speedometer console. Any idea how to fix it ?
