You can. You have to make a habit of it. Under panic conditions, the rear brake is applied automatically and its necessary. When you are riding at leisure and the braking distance and speed is comfortable, you can ignore the rear brake. Once you make this a habit, its easy. This way, my Dazzler's rear disc pads lasted 25k, and still more than 30% was left.

Well, I mean to say that when we rest our feet on the foot pegs.. our legs tend to press the rear brake.. its without knowledge.. though we don't apply it with force.. some part of the pad is going to get used.. i mean scratched off.. this is just a theoretical stuff i tot about.. not sure if this is wat is actually happening.. correct me if I am wrong

Sir, may i know how the ride quality/comfort is after the shocks change?? because, I am facing problem with my shocks. It bottoms out in small potholes itself, also it makes screeching sound when u hold the bike and gently push it up and down.My headlight beam setup is in lowest position and am finding it fine when riding alone, but with a pillion, the high beam goes to sky and low beam becomes high beam..Can this be due to bad shocks??? please help me .

One way to reduce the screeching sound is by applying oil.. atleast this solved the issue for me with my first karizma

My front disk pads are still stock though i do most of the braking using front ones. So is there any other rear disk pads that would do the job as the stock pads but don't cost a hole in the pocket.
i replaced the front pads @ 14.8k recently
              and rear pad still stock
i guess you are resting your feet on the rear brake while riding be conscious next time

In my ~25k kms, rear pads are still stock. Seems they'll last till 30k or so. I use 90:10 front:rear nowadays. [Peak traffic movements in Bangalore]
Front pads replaced twice, 1st time at 13.5k and second near 23k kms.

                  Both pads are VFM IMO.

Ninja pads should last at least 6-7k kms on the ZMR.
Rear disc pads lasts approx 18-19k kms in my case whereas front lasts about 15-16k Kms max.

                        • All, regarding the design change of GRS shocks of ZMR, please don't take it for granted that the design is changed. Just now I saw a new ZMR with GRS shocks with no change in design. I have checked the GRS shocks of new CBZ Xtreme and I found that to be exactly like the one Rakesh fitted on his ZMR. Now, I am beginning to suspect that the SVC guys fitted Xtreme's/Hunk's GRS shocks on ZMR. I told Rakesh the same and asked him to confirm with SVC.

Anyone knows if the GRS shocks of ZMR and Hunk to be same? If they are same, they should have the same part number too.

I think SVc has put the CBZ Xtreme shocks in ZMR and in fitting they have set the upper part as lower (Rotate) in ZMR.....
