    • radiator mod

Guys just out of curiosity I wanted to ask whether it is possible to change our radiator/oil cooler wid a bigger one.
The puny radiator provided by hmc is not able to do its job efficiently and in addition d bulky fairing which restricts d air flow over d engine as well as d radiator hinders its performance even more. So is it possible to upgrade d radiator to a bigger size?

If I'm not wrong, someone tried putting the P220's on a ZMR. Its not plug n play, needs some jugaad. Moreover, the end result is almost the same. Not worth it.

          • Nice but make sure on this.

This is a small but most important issue of ZMR.
Since we are using Fuel Injecting vehicle.
And damage of Fuel Pump can cost you a bomb which I know quite well.
34567 kms and ZMR sold :(

Yes, its almost 1.4 times in size. (my perspective only. Never measured them by scale)

EDIT - just changed the air filter now. 5 min DIY job.
Love how the bike has become peppier now.

Cost me 220 bucks. SVC charges 250+50 labor (80 bucks for nothing actually). Saved those precious 80 bucks.

              • Guys,I got the estimate for repair of my bike from SVC and got the survey done. The estimate was made for Rs45000 (right side fairing 2 pieces, handle set, fork set, muffler, muffler cover, rear cushion, brake pedal(front and rear),headlamp,winker,mirror,stem,t-set,front wheel,tank,etc.).The surveyer passed everything except tank and front mudgaurd (nearly Rs38000).When I drove my bike yesterday,I dint feel any fault in the fork as well as in the front wheel, even headlamp is pretty good....Now my doubt is,will fork and wheel have got any damage due to fall...Is it really needed to change them???? (If not changed, will it cause any problem in future???).also,in warranty card,it is given that, part warranty voids if the part is replaced...so,if i change fork, will it void warranty??? Or,if i keep fork unchanged, and if i find any fault, can i claim warranty???.....SVC has quoted a labour charge of Rs5000..Isn't it too high???
Whats your suggestion about fork change??? Also, since only the right side piece of my handle is bent, can i change only that part???

Nothing is more important and precious than life. Change all parts that you've a doubt upon. Leaving the forks and stuff unattended will always be in your mind. That's human psychology.

I jus wanted to check if my mech has changed d filter or not n my God its such an easy job, so decided to change it myself from next time n I also tried to change my spark plug but in vain:-( I need to remove d fairing to access it, I tried to remove d fairing but d screw was too tight n wid small amount of pressure d fairing went in, i's scared if I'll break it as it is very fragile so left it untouched:-)
A rupee saved is a rupee earned, Gud job bro :-)

It has been over a year that HH became HMC, yet all HMC ZMRs are holding good and not falling apart.
FYI, in HH days also, the body + stickers dept was Hero's and not Honda's.

Honda only made engines. Rest is taken care of by Hero. Its the same even today.

I would like to add something here. Even the engine was manufactured by Hero and Honda only supplied the technology. Hero almost manufactures all components of bikes and few are outsourced. even those that are outsourced are fuelling and electricals. So no problem in Hero, and infact HERO has changed many vendors of parts after split. For examples Bore and piston kit were coming from SAL and after split once again USHA.

I have seen quality to improve rather than decrease. Those people who do not have any knowledge on bikes says so, but we here know about bikes and still speak like those who have never known anything about bikes.

In fact i have ridden the Hero extreme of my friends and it felt smoother than my extreme.

                              XWARRIOR,
Firstly warranty will not be void. Secondly if the SVC wishes then can do anything and everything.
Most importantly FORKS are one of the most key things in Bike.
They are more important to change than the scratched fairing

Get in touch with the SVC Manager who takes care of the insurance.
Just OIL & PALM grease and ask him to include the Labour Charges into Insurance.
Yes my experience and probably I have claimed more insurance than any other guy in this Forum
While changing the Forks make sure to change the Fork Oil also.

                              SIBUN,
Once a learned soul speaks then we must hear and appreciate
Yes somehow HERO Bikes in general are not applauded here much in Forum.

Rather I am no expert of SuperBikes as well but YES these Bikes are pretty darn good.
Moreover the Serving and Parts availability is way better than other brands.

Trust one thing ZMR is one of the finest under estimated all rounders in the current market scenario.
Love it or Hate it, this is TRUE.

The worst sufferer is me who can understand the pain after selling my Bike........
34567 kms and ZMR sold :(

I hope you and your ZMRs are doing good
Lately I've been facing some issues ....

                                1. There is a weird noise coming from the handlebar (something like "Kaddddd") whenever i turn the bike (mostly right side) . The same noise is louder when I press front brakes .

                                2. Gears have become too hard . Sometimes they don't shift in one go .
                                I don't brake rules , I merely test their elasticity ;)
