      so this is how it was for my bike initially after which i stopped pressing the self button.. I stopped pressing the self button as soon as the display goes off.. but later I learnt myself that holding the self button started the bike.. but am not sure how it is in your situation...

      Well, the link is broken. Anyways to describe in detail, after pressing the self, the display keeps resetting. Keeps blinking. On leaving the button, it resets properly with the running message. But on pressing the button for second time, the display goes completely blank. And the sound changes too.
      The sound is as if something is shorting. Krrrr kinda. And its very very loud. That's the only reason am scared to hold the starter button for long.

        Maybe it worked for you, but its not good practice. A weak battery can be charged if ridden above 4k RPM, but a dead battery cannot be charged. Dead cells won't retain charge even if red line attempts are made. Abhi, can you try push start?

              If the battery connections are corroded, if the ground(-ve) wire from battery not anchored well,and if the battery charge is low the starter Relay will chatter and make " Krrrrr" sound and the display will reset....a total display off on pressing the the starter switch further confirms this...

                My Battery is already dead and you know it anyways.. better to remove the battery and get it charged.. you can get the battery charged in 15 mins... I don't knw what they do here in Ghaziabad.. but they get the battery fully charged in 15mins and costs me only 50/-

                  Is your battery cage bigger like in old ZMA or small ? If it is small and you have Exide ETZ 7 model(6Amps)VRLA battery then stick to it...if it is the older and bigger model then an Aamron 9 AH can be fitted....An Aamron 9 ah would cost you 1,500/- and the Exide ETZ 7 will be close to the same cost

                    I don't know about the size sir. Shall post a pic of the battery tommorow. However I recently had disconnected the battery terminals to reset the ecu. The contacts are not corroded. Anyway shall remove the side panels and check it.

                    Divya- Ya bro that's how I was able to come home. Push start works. And even am scared about holding that push start button. Shall not do it. Anyways had txted you to tell ill be able to come to that 2 day ride.

                    Ill just take the bike to your mech (royal motors) and get the battery charged. If the bike starts after that then fine. Else ill have to go for a new battery. What do you think?

                        Now.. I got a problem with my Black Pearl.. Yesterday evening.. it was raining heavily on my way home from office.. after I reached home.. I parked the bike and turned the ignition off.. and then turned on the ignition and started the bike to see if the battery drained (I usually do that when I keep the headlights on).. it started without strain so i turned off the ignition and went up to my house..

                        today morning.. my morning hobby.. Going to Gym.. I went down and turned the ignition on and boom... nothing.. no fuel pump sound.. the display is off.. nothing.. its as if the bike key is in off position..

                        I checked all the fuses under the seat.. all are fine..
                        I opened the battery side panel to check on the battery terminals.. All fine..
                        I checked the fuse from the Starter Relay.. All fine..

                        Now what could be the problem.. I suspect the wiring from the ignition to be the culprit.. [MENTION=32286]psr[/MENTION] sir, [MENTION=41586]Divya Sharan[/MENTION] ???

                        Thank God I have the RX as my secondary bike..

                        I went back up and got the RX key.. dusted it off and got the bike to start after almost 20 kicks.. (my legs were dead)

                        now it was time for my RX to take revenge.. I never use it much.. and the tank was empty.. moved some 100mtrs and boom.. bike stopped.. Reneav pushed the bike 1km and got the fuel filled.. Bad start for a morning i don't know what else I am gonna face..

                        Guys.. need your suggestions regarding the issue with my ZMR.. evening i will probably get a local mechanic to check on it as the ASC is about 7kms from my place..

                          In all probability you are are right about wiring problem...If you look under the Ignition On/Off switch there will be TWO connections made of thick wire....this is the power through switch and invariably one of them had come off the soldering on the switch....this is a known problem in the bike..

                            It jus happened all of a sudden.. now i will have to ride rx to office.. nooooooo.. by the way.. i tried to reach that wire in the morning sir.. but it was covered fromthe bottom.. how can i reach it without removing the fairing??

                                May be a battery issue....since you start the bike while parking it may has work because battery may get get some power while riding...but in night it may have drained....jut my guess...

                                Anyway...yesterday rain i ride my ZMR...and PSD does not disappoint at all in rain....its grip is superb in wet road...
