5. same as point 4 goes here.. but possible that the tail part is broken or a loose nut.
6. this is very common in all the bikes with such gear shift patterns..
7. which oil are you currently using and the grade of the engine oil please.. I am using Rimula R4 Diesel Engine oil 15W40 after suggestion by @psr sir.. the oil is lovely and the engine vibes have reduced.. highly noticeable after the engine heats up.. this has also sweetened the neutral issue.. it has become easier to find the neutral..

Since you don't know the bike and where about of the bolts and nuts.. I would suggest you not to take risk.. if at all you wanna try it yourself.. it is very simple.. though I don't have pics to explain.. i will try to take some pics if possible.. but someone might already have it done.. @Divya Sharan please be kind enough to help

I had split and assembled the RX engine many times...it is a very simple engine assembly, and if you try with CORRECT TOOLS, it is easy.....but age is slowly eating my memory and I remember only a few of the things I did 30 yrs back...

Guess its bad times for me. On pressing self starts, krrrrr sound comes from the engine. It might be from the battery compartment also I dunno. When that sound comes, the display goes off, engine does not starr and the time gets reset. All are symptoms of a dead battery. But am confused with one part. Even with the engine being off, hid switches on. Is it really a dead battery?

Drove crazy on test drive itself xD registraion will be on thursday or friday after tat a lil touring after tat 1st service after tat normal college week after tat another tour..

Tell me under what RPM I should maintain until the first 1K kms..

Get the batteries charged.. how old is the battery..?? my bike battery is 3.5 years old and still I don't have issues with self due to the battery (touchwood) it completely drains out when i keep the headlight turned on for 30 minutes or so.. otherwise I don't find issues.. whenever I do.. i run the bike for some 15mins and the battery gets charged..

P.S. My Battery is dead for the past 1.5yrs

Press and hold the self start and don't let go of it.. it will attempt to start the bike.. Don't give acceleration as well.. the bike will eventually start.. try and hold the self button till the bike starts.. we usually leave the self button after seeing the display going off.. Give it a shot.. nothing to lose here..

Check if the earth wire from has battery(-ve ) which is connected to the starter motor mounting is firm.....For all practical reasons, Starter relay chatter is mainly due to Low battery capacity....ie., a run down or defective battery...Check also the battery connections for corrosion.

Oops.. don't ever ride your bike insane during Run in period.. its gonna screw the new metal parts inside the engine..

riding the bike @4000 RPM would do good.. thats how I always shifted the gears unless I ride it insane..

Congrats for acquiring a fab machine. You'll love the experience.
Changing HLs is a little tricky. SMDs can be put by opening the balck plastic covering the console region. Then pull out the wires to OE pilot lamps and plonk the LEDs.
But HL requires some patience. The clamp holding the bulb is tight, hence I'd advice opening the upper half of the fairing (right/left - ur choice). Ensure that you don't disturb the beam throw.
I'd suggest you get the HL swapped at the SVC. I got it done without any issues.

Dead battery wouldn't have juice for HID bro. Check the fuse under your seat. Replace them with spare fuse and see. Also, get the starter relay checked.

Vary the RPMs slowly. Maintain speeds within 4-5k RPM for the first 500 kms. Get oil changed at the SVC. Then vary RPMs till 6k RPM. Do it slowly and for short bursts. Do NOT give sudden jerks. Linear acceleration till 100 kmph on the speedo can be done safely.

1. 17k kms may warrant a new sprocket kit. How often do you lube the chain?
2. Upgrade to 55w bulbs. (H4 type)
3. Check the rim for bends. Also, get the valves checked for leakage. One of these will be the culprit.
4. Double sided tape/tire tube would help.
5. Are you sure its the tail? Its actually a sturdy piece. Did you meet with an accident sometime back thus creating issues with the rear?
6. Normal, upgrade to a better engine oil.
7. Subjective. I used Shell AX7 for sometime. Found it good. Then moved to Motul 7100. Hated it. Thereafter, I moved to Mobil1 full synth. Absolutely loved it. My bike loved it. Later, came to know about Rimula series by shell. Its a diesel oil and gives a comparable performance to Mobil1 while costing 1/3rd of it. So, I'm using Rimula currently.

well.. for me it did

the HID as well as the Projector worked for me even when the battery was dead.. but the self wouldn't click..

Is it possible that the fuse on the starter relay is at fault as well??

so this is how it was for my bike initially after which i stopped pressing the self button.. I stopped pressing the self button as soon as the display goes off.. but later I learnt myself that holding the self button started the bike.. but am not sure how it is in your situation...

DO NOT hold the starter for more than 5 sec at once. It'll kill the already weak (?) battery.
