It has done 37k till date. To be honest with you the bike haven't been serviced properly. Bad experience with the ASCs. I have been changing the engine oil and taking care of small tasks myself.

What could be wrong? Is it tappet noise or the cam chain is loose?

      its the tappets.

      Timing chain sounds ok.

Set tappets and then check sound

Please put some light on this issue.
Don't go by the color alone. Black color means that the oil is working well and cleaning your engine by keeping all the dirt suspended.
Rub it between your fingers and see if it appears coarse. If it does, its time to change.

          Thank you Divya bhai.

OK. The oil does not feel coarse. Unfortunately I have already drained the oil and poured in fresh Shell AX7

Please suggest a good service center in Bangalore bhai.

ZMR doesn't warrant a full synth oil. Just keep shuttling between AX7/Veedol Super Swift (or Rimula, if brave enough) and drain at 2k intervals.
Regarding SVC, sorry bhai. My bike hasn't seen any SVC in Bangalore.

I tried to source rimula r4 from shell and few of the local shops but could not get one.

I am fine to get the job done outside. Haven't had a good experience with the ASCs. If you can suggest a good mechanic outside, it would be very helpful

Quick question for zma owners : Do the zma mirrors fit the CBR 250? If so, what is the price of the mirrors?

Not ZMA, ZMR mirrors are a direct fit. Cost 441 rupees including the stem.

There is a catch - CBR 250R RVM stem is longer. Hence, ZMR mirrors will show only your biceps for most part.

441? I spent 420 for CBR 250 mirrors last year, and was hoping to save money by using zmr mirrors. Tsk.
R15 and zma parts seem to cost more than CBR?

New prices actually. But ZMR never had *cheap* spares. Consumables have become costly as well.

Thankfully the quality is good. I'm on stock mirrors. Though I bought a left side mirror in 2013 but reverted back to stock soon (classic left RVM issue).

                              Right handle bar change
                              Right fairing change

                              Forks to be checked
Front brake pistons cleaning, shoes change and brake fluid change

                              Estimate of Rs.8k!
Got the bike from the ASC. Final bill Rs.1087/-!!
They just straightened the handle bar. The head mechanic said that everything else was ok according to him so I needn't worry.
I wonder if the guys are too lazy to put in the effort or are they just downright morons?
I'm going to do a DIY for changing the brake pads and the brake oil. Will also attempt replacing the cone bearing set with the help of my local mistry.
Heading out to Spiti on 10th Sept so want the bike to be in mint condition. Really disappointed with the ASC guys.

last year I installed ZMR mirrors on my bike just to check whether they solve the problem of aesthetics and purpose.

the upside is that they (ZMR RVMs) look damn sexy than the stock RVMs and the downside is that the visibility is low as compared to the stock RVMs, it is manageable but for me when RVMs are concerned, I don't want them to be manageable but should fully solve its purpose. I reverted back to the stock RVMs for its fantastic view of whats happening behind.

If you are keen on installing the ZMR mirrors without wasting money, PM me I will send the ZMR mirrors to you.

                                Cheers,
