        Replacement mirrors
Hey guys. I would like to know if there are any replacement mirrors (assembly) for the ZMR other than the stock one?
These hairdresser idiots at the parking rotate my mirrors everyday and they gave up within an year. However tight I adjust them, the mirror rotates from the assembly.
Any other bikes mirror assembly can be fixed? I wanted to replace the assembly but White is out of stock here in Chennai.

              Few solutions:
              1. CBR150R/250R mirrors. P.S - they're longer than ZMR's (stalk length) and hence traffic movement would get even more restricted.
              2. If the stalk gets loosened from the base, you can either open the unit and rub the washers on concrete/sand paper and fit them back. They will hold.
              OR
You can put an old rubber band (not the plastic one, the rubbery one found on sweet packets) and put it on the screw threads. Then screw the stalk in. Ensure you screw it in straight else the threads may go bad.
              3. If the stalk stays tight and just the mirror unit has become free, do note that you can almost tighten it always by rotating it in the opposite direction (bottom of the mirror is rotated towards the top continuously for maybe 5-6 rounds) until it gets locked.

Quick update. Almost finishing my run-in and will be replacing engine oil with shell advance ultra.. tiered of using shell semi-synth for 5 years.
Engine is smooth but the ASC guys do not know how to address the vibes, so will have to visit the local mech with a fresh round of double side tapes. Lol!

Do you really change mineral oil at 1-2k kms?

Honda manual states oil change every 6000km for Hornets and the Unicorn, that too with mineral oil. Does mineral really last that long? Many people go by the book in this.

                        Sorry for OT.

Coming back, you're slowly but surely going towards that magical 1L kms mark. How I wish I could ride like you (I mean sedate, sometimes I can't resist[emoji14]).

                          Yes. 2k km. Shell AX7.
If using Rimula, then maybe a couple of 100 km less.

Even ZMR manual says top up till 6k and replace thereafter. But the engine becomes very very rough by 3k.

Agreed. I use Motul (i guess 10W30 it was) = super smooth = improved engine = but still change it after 2K kms. Even though they say it will run 4K-6K kms.

Few changes to my ZMR and the observations:

                                1. Replaced the rear tyre with MRF Meteor TL, same specs: Excellent grip in all conditions. I rode from Mumbai to Igatpuri and beyond in massive rain all the way and back 40 days ago. It was 300+ km of full rain...it didn't stop even for a minute. I had absolutely no issues with banking, grip, or anything at all. After that trip, I rode in similar conditions, except that there were no roads! It still held on. Even if it lasts for a year, I would say paisa wasool!!

                                2. Snorkel removed: The heat from the engine was unbearable; I mean much more than my old 350cc CI Bullet. This was irrespective of changing engine oils, experimented with almost all the possiblities. Finally, I removed the snorkel. Voila! The engine now runs really cool. It's a bit of a trade-in for some initial grunt, but worth the result. MY ZMR's clutch plates used to get fried every now and then, but after this setup, they are holding up!
Current: Hero Karizma ZMR || Royal Enfield Bullet CI
                                Past: Yamaha Enticer
