Re: Hero Honda Karizma ZMR
It would last about 20-22k km overall before starting to wear out completely. Grip levels post 15k would come down a bit and would still be better than stock Zappers.Originally posted by Shreeni0403 View PostAvoid using TT as TL at all costs.
I'm using zapper vyde n very much happy with it. Not sure how long it will last , so far competed around 6000+ kms with this tyre.

Re: Hero Honda Karizma ZMR
Ya u may be right but this one is not 90-18 its 80-18 and it's completely packed like TL tyre I saw card board type blocks inside the tyre and no tube found its hollowOriginally posted by Divya Sharan View Postvickyraj82 says it's available in TL form, though I'm not sure.
Reasons?
1. It's not mentioned on the website.
2. Many sellers sell that TT tire as TL (Zapper Q 110/90-18).
P.S - A tire is NOT tubeless unless it has TUBELESS written/embedded/embossed on it.

Those Tyre sellers are there to make the most out of us..so lets not go by what they say.. Yes, not all TT can be used as TL, because it depends on the beeding pattern.. I learnt it after getting looted initially...
1) Michellin Sirac street (100/90): TT used as TL and ran about 20+k kms without a single puncture...was still good when i got rid of it for a wider tyre.
2) Zapper Q (110/90): TT used as TL...Ran 15k before it gave up to a metal piece making about a 1 inch hole...i still rode around 40 odd kms with that flat tyre and beeding was intact with alloy despite speeds of 70kmph...this was during 2015 ISGTG ride
3) Zapper Q (110/90): Again TT used as TL...still going strong after 12k kms...
This is my experience if anybody is still ambiguous on making a decision..Jay

Re: Hero Honda Karizma ZMR
Yesterday searched a lot for Zapper Y 110/90 18 but not could find...
While searching Michelin dealer is saying that 110/90 18 in Sirac series is available and will get in 2/3 days...
Is Michelin Sirac a good tyre? Is it a made of soft compound rubber?..
Kindly share your thoughts on the above.

Is it the Sirac street?
Sirac street is NOT a soft compound. Good for dry, dirt, Slush and gravel kind of roads. Okayish on wet roads. I had a 100/90-18 though.Jay

Re: Hero Honda Karizma ZMR
The 'original' Sirac Street was a Michelin product. Post 2014, there were reports that Sirac Street is now made by TVS.Originally posted by veryhiphop View PostYes, seems to be Sirac Street....
Do your research in to this, as it will help us too. If it is Michelin made Sirac Street, get it. If TVS made, leave it.Got a $5 head? Get a $5 helmet.

A big no no to Sirac Street for rare tier. The tier tends to skid in wattery conditions! I would recommend you go for a Zapper Q 100/90-18 sir!
By The Way! Nice meting you all! I am new to the cummunity! Hope to seek good relationship with all of you and lern.

Re: Hero Honda Karizma ZMR
I don't know why people do this, my friend also recently picked up a tube tire and fitted it without a tube. I mean it's ridiculous, how can a tube tire allow a tubeless tire puncture tool to go in? There are embedded nylon and steel threads that stop it and would make a tubeless puncture fix a royal pain and also risk a catastrophic consequence. Moreover the tyre guy would anyways be doing a jugaad by pressing the lips against the rim in such a manner to ensure no air escapes which is all unwarranted. It's always safe to pick up a TL tire like DS pointed out, which has tubeless tire clearly mentioned on it.Originally posted by Shreeni0403 View PostAvoid using TT as TL at all costs.
