What is a diesel wash - spraying with diesel and cleaning thereafter with soap + pressurized water ? In this 96+ k kms, have you de-carbonized the engine/cylinder head/exhaust any time? I know they do that for 2-strokes like Kinetic Honda; but for 4S, only heard some owners of Apache and Pulsars do it.

      Never decarbonised. Not needed.
Diesel wash means stripping the bike and judiciously spraying diesel all over from front to back and leave for 20 min. Then scrub away the contaminants. Then water wash at medium pressure. Then shampoo wash and dry with cloth.

Taper wear is when one part of the bore is narrower than the other (something like an icecream cone, but not as obvious.. these are usually out by a tenth of a mm and not really visible to the naked eye in most cases.)
One needs to measure the diameter of the bore at different spots in the bore to determine if its worn uneven (like taper or oval). This is done using a dial/bore gauge.

            Here is an example:

thanks a lot for the reply and the info and ya i took the Pic near to my Mobile Camera ,hence the angle but it has uniform cylindrical shape.
now i've changed the Bore Kit with new one 2 days back and kept he old Bore kit with me

            ----consecutive posts auto-merged-----

Finally my black beauty came back to life after the Engine seizure , thanks for Divya sharan ,rreneave ,curse, rohiit ,sibun for the help

Problem: Engine got seized while running and dint start until engine opened
Cause found: Timing chain(cam chain kit) broke and few worn out parts like cam shaft component, vavle kit need to be replaced (all these before opening the Engine) and potential piston rings may got bent but after opening those pistons and Bore were fine as i posted the Pics earlier
Fuel Pump they said was fine, FI is fine
Solution: Half engine work is done by the SVC guys parts replaced,

            Engine:
            1. Cam shaft comp - 1200
            2.Arm valve rocker-640
            3.Valve Kit (Karizma)-530
            4. Cam chain kit (Karizma ZMR)-1250
            5. Cylinder Kit(Karizma)- 3338 - this was optional but i changed it too

prior to the installation of new engine components , the Engine header was sent out for cleaning out all the black sticky oil and the Main Engine (where Gears and Piston resides) was cleaned with Petrol/ kerosene ,
later the Engine Header Gasket was replaced with new Gasket and the mech applied a paste
            cleaned the Fuel Injectors

            Others
            6. Oil Cooler- 1440
            7.SPark Plug- 70
            chain sprocket kit-993
            rear disk pad set-1030
            cable comp A & B -181

things they dint opened were :
            1. clutch assembly
            2.gear box/ engine
            3.Fuel pumps etc

it took 6 hours for installing All the new components inlcuding- chain sprocket (this took time as the old nut threads gave trouble), dampers , Fairing fitting
and labour charges for all these were 3.6k
            for the cylinder kit-920
            cam chain-575
            valve lapping- 345
but for every small damn thing they charged the labour , sometimes the labour charges were more than the spare itself like the cost for Rear wheel damper was 160 but labour charges were 260 and this was hardly done in 5mins of time . these guys dont say all these before hand

total hole in the pocket was 14k

but finally the Engine became very silent and the sound reminds me of a New ZMR but i feel little initial Pickup drop is this common when a new Bore kit is changed ? and the Mech said not to cross 50kmph and Change the Oil after 2k Kms
and got a doubt that few components like Bore Kit , Valve Kit are of Karizma's but not ZMR's is it fine ?

New bore is tight and takes time to open up, It means you are running in your bike once again. SO BE UNDER 5K RPM all the time.
Change oil after 4-500 kms instead of 2k kms.
Use 10w30 Oil only. No other grade.

                        hi guys

need suggestions for rear tyre upgrade , i recently changed to MRF Mogrip Meteor 100/90/18 which looks wider than stock and with buttons as i couldnt find 110 size tubeless tyres here in Hyderabad, there are no options in CEAT, MIchellin only TVS had 110 size Tubeless one
but finally could source 110/80/18 zapper Q Tubeless in MRF showroom which comes to me as a surprise as other MRF Dealer said theres no 110 section in MRF only 120 he even contacted other dealer too ,
but this Guy has 110/80/18 zapper Q TL and i thought of buying it but couldnt coz the GUy who fits the tyre said it will touched the CHainguard the side walls may rub and need to cut the Chain guard some area of the SIde wall and which was confirmed by the Weilding Guy also , i was like (after reading in this forum) 110 tyre needs no modificaions only 120 section ones so there was a risk factor as owner told i will install but to check but if i wont take the Tyre is a wastage for him
so i dint took risk and bought Mogrip Meteor 100

is this true that 110/80/18 needs modification ?
has anyone installed Zapper Q 110/90/18 here or know someone installed ?
whats the different between 110/80/18 and 110/90/18 ,
below are the pics for Zapper Q TL 110

Sir, if you read the thread thoroughly, you'd come to know that I have used 110/90-18 tires from Pirelli (Sport Demon) and MRF Zapper Q and no modifications are required whatsoever. It's a direct fit - plug and play.

                            thanks for replying
                            sir , am just 27 bro ,
and yeah i seen some of your posts of Pirelli SD and others too so was i confident of changing it to 110 section but the MRF dealer , mechanic and weilding guy jst said it will touch the chain guard , and i was in dilemma may be Pirelli is somewhat less wider and got a direct fit but this is MRF Zapper Q TL and prev posts have only 110 Zapper Q TT related disco
and this one is 110/80/18 (see pics) , not the zmr stock 110/90/18 size is the middle number (side wall height) matters or only the 110 number matters ?

Note : the two Rear tyre models - Meteor mogrip and Zapper Q both stock size (100/90/18) are slightly wider than the stock MRF zapper tyre .

so 110 size Zapper Q will be wider (almost equals to 120)than regular 110 models of MRF or other companies like Pirelli SD, Ceat etc ?

110 is the width, so that would remain the same. Now the tire may have a flat profile or a round profile. Since Meteor 100/90-18 has a flat profile, it *looks* wider than the stock tire.
90 is the percentage of height of the sidewall. So, 100/90 means that the tire is 100 section and sidewall is 90% of 100, i.e, 90 section. Similarly, 110/90 has a 110 section tire with 99 section sidewall height. This would increase the seat height a bit. 120/80 means 96 section sidewall and height increment would be lesser than 110/90.
Lastly, 18 is the rim size. Hope this helps.
