True Divya. Working on the bike and doing it myself is what gives me immense satisfaction. I only approach a mechanic (not the SVC) when things are beyond my DIY capabilities. It's a learning experience every time I sit down and open up the bike myself. And this forum has been a boon. I've learned more here than anywhere else, thanks to all you guys.

I'm looking for a reliable mechanic in the Delhi/NCR area. Any recommendations?

Lemme check with some more ASS's.
If possible could you share the part no.too.
I bought it in loose from a nearby ASS, they are quite generic and are like the fasteners, bolts n nuts that are in a bike. Why don't you just ask them for wind screen bedding bush, or just show them a sample.

I finally found a yellow karizma. It was the bike i wanted to buy but couldnt afford it. But i found paralell joy in rebuilding an rx135. Eventually after 6 years i saved enough money to spend on a karizma. 45k kms run, registered in 2008. It looks a little patchy but the engine is sounding fine i think. I will need help from you guys regarding the tuning and other settings.

Hello brothers... Sharing my story here. I missed my ZMR after leaving for US in early 2015. But during my short vacation to India in early 2016, I reconnected with my ZMR. It was amazing. I even my did favorite ECR ride from Pondicherry to Chennai.

So when I returned back to US, I was determined to continue motorcycling. I signed up for the MSF course and completed it. After obtaining my Motorcycle endorsement, I was all set to buy my first US bike. But then I decided to postpone mainly because it didn't seem like a wise investment at the time.

Come December, I just woke up one day, decided today was the today. I called the dealership, got a good deal and purchased it the same day. I was going to go for the CBR 300R, but my wife changed my mind. Thank God for her. The CBR 500R is just perfect for me. It feels like a newer ZMR with twin engines, shorter wheelbase, more aggressive looks, better headlamp. I've been riding to work every day and its been a rewarding experience. I rode on the interstate only one time. I find myself more comfortable and relaxed at lower speeds on highways. Hoping for many long, safe, wonderful rides in the USA...

I have zmr (2011) and i am facing few issues.

                      1. This "khat" sound from both front end as well as rear end. This is irritating as hell.

                      2. The heating issue. Just riding for 15 minutes this gets noticeable. (I ride in city always around 35-40. )

It's amazing how the thread is still running. It's been almost 4 yrs since I last visited this thread and It's been a year since I have last ridden my ZMR.

Now for the noise I used a double sided foam tape to pad all the surfaces wherever there is plastic to plastic contact as well as plastic to metal. I did these to all the parts starting from the front visor, the part below the headlight assembly, left and right cowls and the covering below the seat. Doing this reduced a lot of noise from the front end. But it will not eliminate the noise entirely but sure will reduce a lot. You can do this yourself, if you are not that confident take it to your trusted mechanic along with the foam tape and do it.

For the noise from the back I would suggest checking ur drive chains lubrication and slack. These are the most common source of noise from the back. Also make sure you don't have any loose items bouncing around in your under seat storage compartment(I had a Rexine cloth based pouch for this).

                          Hi Everyone,

I would need help regarding my bike, i bought my ZMR back in 2010 February and i was a regular user of the bike until 2013 december 30k ridden post that i was abroad so my friend used to take the bike out once in a while he used to get only normal service done (oil change, wash) etc, now i am back and started using the bike regularly and was hearing a tak tak when i rev the engine , so i know a mechanic i used to give the bike to him and he said he needs to check this might be something to do with the timing chain, so when he removed the engine we saw that the clutch plates and pistons needs to be changed with a rebore , injector needs to be cleaned and a lot of things, i will show you the quote. btw the bike has run 40k now

Now i need inputs from you guys.

That's a lot of money. The Mechanic is trying to make a lot of money out of you! The engine oil is the only coolant that the engine gets. It is an oil cooler and not liquid cooling.. oil cooler is another technology for Air cooling.

2500 for first cleaning? Is he serious? Well, I can't really comment on it! But AFAIK, new FI will cost ~5k
