Well i can tell you one thing, i am not a die hard fan of naked bikes, just because i never felt they are extension to my personality. I have a GS150 and and well it is no means a anwswer to your question but i somehow really like how the GS looks, i don;t mind if you call my liking a bit commuterish.

    2. What is your take on mileage ?

Well i am doing 100kms a day, if the bike returns me 40-45kmpl i think that should be sufficient.

    3. Does more n more power/pull excites you ? To be particular pull, coz top end is kinda a fancy stuff in daily life..

well the only place i can actually cross speed of 90+ on my daily commute is a stretch of 5 kms (DND flyway) at max. I am not someone who would like to have a go at red lights, the pull after a few metres crossing the red light matters more (hope you got what i am saying)

    4. what is ur max budget ?

Max budget since i was looking for CBR150R as a option 1.4L i think (no stretching beyond this)

I have stayed in delhi ncr area for some time & i know the traffic conditions even on the highway... you need a bike which pulls effortlessly in such heavy traffic & wont tire you..

CBR150 is no way a bike to spend on.. It doesnt really have anything brilliant in offer.. CBR250 may have its own issues, but the damn bike pulls brilliantly for sure & is also better looking.. infact the Repsol edition looks stunning...

While ZMR does appeal to me,just that the weight of the bike puts a big question mark over my head. GS itself is 150 Kgs and ZMR is 160Kgs, while i have managed GS very well since i am 6'1 and average built, but i have doubts about ZMR.

While currently i expanded the alternatives from CBR150 (most probably not going to buy it) to either Honda Trigger or 200NS (Well i don't know but my mind is growing crazy looking at the different classes of bike i have shortlisted)

P.S: So talked to ZMR dealer about few hours ago, currently Black color available OTR Delhi 1,11,000, intially quoted me 1.13L, but after telling them that websites quotes 1.11 L the lady told me(Sir includes helmet as well)

I am doing approx 2500kms in a month, so maintenance required will be like every month

My advice go for zmr.... It wil make you happy. Build quality is better than 200NS and the most important thing since you drive for 2.5k kms is service and maintenance.. Bajaj sucks in this category( No offence, my own experience) Hero is not too gud, but better.. And it got better tech like pgm-fi that would give you 40+ kmpl.. So it meets all your requirements I guess..

Comfortable, sturdy build and quality, fuel efficient, better tech and good top speed and moreover stable at higher speeds...

Now choice is yours... Good luck

He he... you confused me to hell with your reply to my first question.. all i could understand is you need a win win case when it comes to bike being faired..

Anyways, i wont really suggest ZMR to you.. It wont worth the money you need to spend.. I would rather suggest ZMA over ZMR.. Yes ZMA doesn't have FI & is kinda dated.. but it is a proven workhorse with decent mileage & would worth every penny you would spend.. A long ride with a ZMA would be way smoother & comfortable than a ride with ZMR..

The only 2 other bikes I may suggest are :

        1. Duke200 (considering that your budget is up to 1.4 lacs)..It's hell of a machine with way better output & is still a head turner even though naked.
        2. Yamaha FZ16 (You would save a lot of money & you won't feel loaded when you would want a new bike after 4 years, though a bit under powered but a fantastic daily commuter, excellent reliability)

        My Bikes:
Yamaha RD (The one which taught me what riding is; Can never forget this one)
Bajaj Caliber (The one closest to my heart; I still have it after 15 yrs !)
Yamaha R15 V2.0 (The best I had; Ah it let me become the college hunk I once used to be :) )
Hero Honda Karizma ZMR (The bike for the family man in me; The practical one; The current one)

I am going to take my bike for 3rd service tomorrow. Will post some pics later.

One amazing thing I relaized about the ZMR. Absolutely ZERO starting problem so far. The bike just ALWAYS starts the same way, whether it is the next day or after 3 weeks. No problems at all. I feel like the bike is giving me VIP treatment everytime.

Meanwhile, I had a disappointing accident in the parking lot at my workplace. One dude tried to move my bike and park his in between. Unfortunately the side stand came off and my bike hit the next one, there by giving my fairing its first scratch. Also the Z sticker on the tank came off a bit. Anyways, he was gentleman enough to make a partial payment for the damages. Now I will have to decide how to deal with it.

Specifications doesn't mean everything, a test ride will clear all the doubts. ZMR even at 160kgs, feels light once you start moving and gives immense stability at high speeds.
For 6'1 , I would have suggested xtreme in 150cc and ZMR in 200+cc segment.Others will create ergonomic issues.

Riding position is good and you won't feel tired even if you do 200 kms at a stretch.
You can blindly go for it as your daily commute is 100kms.

I've said this earlier and so have many others. Once you get used to the bike, you'll never know its weight as the engine takes care of it as it should. The only criteria you must look at instead of wasting time bothering about weight is fuel economy and its high speed stability on the highway. Looking at your posts I gather you have not yer ridden it. If so ride this bike for a decent stretch and decide.

Did 600 kms yesterday. Bangalore - Tumkur - Kadur - Chikmagalur - Mullayanagiri Peak - Belur - Hassan - Bangalore.

Average cruising speeds maintained during the first 100 kms and last 200 kms were 85-95 kmph. Got a full tank done after reaching BLR from the trip.
Full tank to full tank gave 597 kms. That means 12 L fuel. Math tells me - 597/12 is 49.75 kmpl. That's simply superb.

I wonder how many bikes give 600 kms range nowadays along with a comfortable riding position and plush seats.

                Here's one pic!
