Re: Hero Honda Karizma ZMR
This issue happens if the slider pin not greased properly. Dont use any grease try to get Red Rubber grease from LUCAS and lube the slider pins.Originally posted by Harvinder View Post

Wow ! What an easy fix [emoji33]Originally posted by RaajD View Post
2. Snorkel removed: The heat from the engine was unbearable; I mean much more than my old 350cc CI Bullet. This was irrespective of changing engine oils, experimented with almost all the possiblities. Finally, I removed the snorkel. Voila! The engine now runs really cool. It's a bit of a trade-in for some initial grunt, but worth the result. MY ZMR's clutch plates used to get fried every now and then, but after this setup, they are holding up!

To be frank - neither!Originally posted by abhi7013 View PostA quick clarification. Which is better? Motul? Or shell fully synthetic?
FS on this engine is overkill and unnecessary expenditure. If the seals don't leak, you may use it for up to 4k km.
Motul somewhat gets consumed, Shell FS doesn't.Got a $5 head? Get a $5 helmet.

Re: Hero Honda Karizma ZMR
What do you mean "clutch plates frying now & then"??Originally posted by RaajD View PostFew changes to my ZMR and the observations:
1. Replaced the rear tyre with MRF Meteor TL, same specs: Excellent grip in all conditions. I rode from Mumbai to Igatpuri and beyond in massive rain all the way and back 40 days ago. It was 300+ km of full rain...it didn't stop even for a minute. I had absolutely no issues with banking, grip, or anything at all. After that trip, I rode in similar conditions, except that there were no roads! It still held on. Even if it lasts for a year, I would say paisa wasool!!

I bought ZMR in 2011 Feb and no clutch plate change so far. Plus looks strong as of now.Last edited by neeraj.juneja; 08-23-2016, 12:42 AM.

Re: Hero Honda Karizma ZMR
Well I guess you have try different oil for you. I dont think there is any universal oil, it all depends on how did you run-in and your riding style.Originally posted by abhi7013 View PostA quick clarification. Which is better? Motul? Or shell fully synthetic?
P.S. Though Jap engine tech is mostly the same.

Re: Hero Honda Karizma ZMR
ASC to local mechanic to anyone....no idea why this is happening. I was so frustrated that 4 months ago, I replaced and altered part of the setup with that of Unicorn's. Top speed is severely compromised, but the setup is holding up. I haven't been too kind after the change. I have been doing major offroading since then, and the bike hasn't complained so far.Originally posted by neeraj.juneja View PostWhat do you mean "clutch plates frying now & then"??

One weird part is the ODO malfunction. i have clocked more than 40K kms in the past 3 years, but it still shows around 17k kms. ASC won't acknowledge and I don't bother! the primary issues have been more overwhelming!
I must conclude that Hero with Honda had much better quality! Period.Current: Hero Karizma ZMR || Royal Enfield Bullet CI
Past: Yamaha Enticer
Ride hard or stay home!!

Keep pestering them till your issues are resolved. After all its hard earned money. Electronic issue looks serious though. Re: Hero Honda Karizma ZMR
Update: this is the condition of the shell advance FS oil post 2000 kms.Originally posted by cfsjaved View Post
If I am not wrong FS oil should last for a minimum 3000 kms. The bike is always ridden in the city. In the last 6 years it has done around 5 highway rides mostly within 150 kms.
Please put some light on this issue.
