That's malfunction indicator. Could be bcz of various reasons. Get the error code scanned at service center. If bike is running normal and you're still seeing malfunction light then could be some lose connection.

Throttle sensor has a loose contact as well as starter relay needs tightening into it's spot.
Use Vaseline gelly on the battery terminals and tighten it again.

Nice that the blinking issue is sorted out.
Drain all the petrol if it belongs to August. Old petrol forms a sludge within the tank.
Also, replace old engine oil. Let the bike idle after oil and petrol change for 5-7 min. You may notice some smoke from the exhaust initially. Don't rev the bike too high for 10-15 km and it should be fine.

My bike completed 2 years today.
Yes it's a bit old now, but I wish it would continue to be a mile muncher that it has always been.

Divya Sharan - Hey I read somewhere that you are using diesel engine oil. How is it holding ? Are you still using the same ? If yes, which one ?

Mineral Oil or even Shell SS is not holding good for more than 1200kms. Engine starts getting harsh, could be any problem ?

Yes I used Shell Rimula R3X and R4 for 30k km. It is 15w40. Primarily use it in summers. Drain intervals 1500-1800 odd km. Used for 2000 km too but it wasn't as good till then.
