Divya Sharan, did you fill in from a different petrol bunk? Maybe the quality of petrol has an effect on this?? :/

Also, does the engine heat too much? Do you notice an increase in heat when using motul 3000 as compared to ax7? That might also be a reason..

Thanks for the inputs guys. The engine needs decarbonizing. I got in touch with Shoeb sir and he explained the issue to be with carbon build up.
I will use System G for my trip and decarb the engine after I return.

But its been there since 2.5 years of my ownership with no effects other than the knocking sound.. Hope there are no other ill-effects which may have missed my attention!

As shoeb and I have said some pages back, it is because of carbon build up in combustion chamber.
Get it cleaned. While getting cleaned change the rings of piston else bike will start consuming oil.

Let me know when you're going to da mech bro. Even ill come along and give it for service.
Also the entire dome is shaking. There are two bolts on the chassis which are loose, just in front of the tank and below the handle bar. Result of which, the whole dome including the speedo shake a lot on bumps. Need to rectify that too.

I replied for that part, not the rear tire.

To sum it up, I can keep 30 comfortably in the front, right?
And how much is too high for the rear, 35? Can I keep 33 in the rear PSD, even in peak summer?

Yes. 30 though a bit high can be kept. I find 28 psi sweet though! Rear 35 may be kept in all seasons.

Hi all.. after replacing the battery around 10 days back, i rode my white pearl yesterday night for 15kms with my Phillips xtreme 55/60w on all the way.. i observed nothing wrong with the bike. But today morningi again drove it to Durg railwsys station some 6kms from my home with headlamps off and in the way back i felt that while blowing the horn the pilot lamps were getting dimmer. I was quite sure that it is sumthing to do with the battery output voltage. The next time i blew the horn the bike gave a thump and the fi indicator glow for 2 seconds and this time i was quite sure that dere is sumthing wrong with the overall voltage hence i switched off the pilots and directly drove to the battery shop itself. I stopped the bike dere n it didn't switched on again. On checking the voltage drop across the battery with bike in switched off mode was just 8.05V
Then the mechanic there hel0ed to switch it on using a service battery and then when v checked for voltage drop across the battery with increased idling, no significant change was shown and the voltage remained to be around 8-8.25 V. :banghead:

Now I'm pretty sure that the issue is the battery is not getting charged when the bike is in running state.. :banghead:

What could be the probable reason? I faced the same issue around 2 yrs back in kerala and get it fixed by replacing the rectifier!:what: Whether it could be the same issue with rectifier again? I need to fix this as soon as possible because I need to take it to Hyderabad from Bhilai as quickly as possible...

Why did you choose G-power this time? I think your earlier one was NGK iridium. Even I had it installed 2 years back, and didn't like it much. The low end torque was lost, and I kept blaming the rear tire for that! A month back, I was trying to adjust the iridium plug gap, ended up flattening the electrode! Immediately changed to company stock spark plug, and gained back the low end grunt/torque. Now I am thinking about G-POWER, but is it worth it?

I buy system g from ford SVC, when I take my fiesta 1.6S for servicing, is it available in general auto shops? I put it in my car for every fill (it's 4 years old and run ~70000 kms). I have been mixing system g in my bike for the last 2 years only, that too during rainy season. Should I put it every alternate fill? Can you really notice the difference using system g regularly in ZMR?
