    When last bar starts blinking there will be about 3ltrs usable fuel. I have used for about 100kms, though I don't recommend running that much. Try to fill ASAP.

      Sorry to post this in wrong thread.

      Since we are discussing about system g.

      Can somebody please let me know, which additive will prevent engine knocking from bad fuel.

      Kind of really pissed off with the petrol bunks.

        All that discussion about fuel system got me reminiscing about old carbs. Remember, a gum like substance is deposited inside a few years old carb, which is relatively easy to clean. But what about fuel injection systems, do they suffer from such deposits too?
        If yes, where will it deposit, and how can it be cleaned?
        In ZMR the Fuel Pump sits outside the Petrol Tank very close to the Left side(Gear Shifter) side Panel . so question of petrol hose nozzle damaging the pump does not arise.

          If the sound is loud when de-accelerating and also increases at idling and decreases on increasing rev it is piston slap and nothing else.

          Get the engine checked else you are waiting for an engine to seize and con rod developing excessive play due to rattling piston in barrel.
          What exactly needs to be replaced/rectified? If i am clear about it, it will be helpfull for me to make the mech understand the problem.
          Also, for time being i will not be able to go to the mech. Anything which i can do till then? Changed the oil three days back.
          And what could be the reasons for this issue to occur?

                  22mm ring spanner to loosen the nut on the silencer side. 30mm ring to loosen the fatter nut. Coupla 10 mms to adjust the chain tensioner.
                  What do I intend to do? Stuff ZMR drivetrain into an Ambition chassis and watch others run scared!

                    Hi All,

                    I'm facing a weird issue with my white pearl. When my bike is on the center stand and if I make the handle free by lifting the front by pressing it from behind, when the handle goes to the right side it make a sound as if sum metal is striking. This sound is not produced when the handle goes to the left. The SVC guy told that its because of some "patti" which needs to be replaced. Please share your thoughts as well. BTW the xBHP Connect app is not working for me. Does anyone among us have tried using it in the last 2 weeks ??

                      Could be due to some cable (clutch/throttle) entangled and not in place.
                      Or
                      May be the cone set that requires attention.

                          Hello All
                          Hope all of you and your STEEDS are doing well.
                          Last week my bike recorded 47kmpl (my highest till now) on a small trip to DD Hills/Theetha Lake.


                          Have a few questions now -

                          I observe lot of tappet noise from engine during my daily commute of 43km's including heavy evening traffic.
                          But the noise reduces significantly during my weekend trips (100-200km).

                          1. Why is it so ??

                          2. Why does Karizma engine have the notorious tappet noise issue ??

                          3. What extra precautions can I take to keep the tappet noise in check ??
                          Have got tappets adjusted twice in 12k+ km's.

                          PS - have ordered the Stanley feeler gauge from Flipkart.

                            VJ are you on 10w30 oil? That would explain knocking in heavy traffic.

                                Not needed. 20w40 would reduce vibes though. Take the feeler gauge with you next time to SVC.
