so ....would lacquering the tank remove that starches ???
If possible try to accept the new tank from HH without returning the old one.
And keep that old tank in a showcase in front of your bed!

Fantastic good going but in how many Months buddy?
Reasonably 15,000 is a point where Pads might require a serious look.

                Anmol,
Depends upon riding patterns & roads. But I guess not too early.
Considering the mass of ZMR, it might not last that of ZMA.
                But probably you know better.
34567 kms and ZMR sold :(

Disc pads wear depends on ones riding habits. Disc pads may not last even for 5k if one indulges in hard braking all the time. There is no specific time frame to check the disc pads wear. Just have a glance once in a while, its very simple!

My first set of pads were changed at 7k kms on my RTR, 2set lasted abt 5k and from then on its being changed at regular intreval of 9-10k kms. only once it lasted for abt 14k kms. so it all depends on once riding habits.

If scratch is minor then you can have a rubbing polish...

They made a scratch on your tank. Why should you, for their mistake be given these 2 options (either to lose your precious autographed tank or use it with those scratches made by the svc guys) ??

Go and shout the above 2 lines in their ears and make them know how important 'it' is to you. They have to give you a new tank without taking the old one.

                                Hiphop,
So it is 800 kms a month which is pretty decent enough.
Approx 10000 kms a Year. Perfect.
Necessity of a vehicle is defined as 10000 to 12000 kms a Year.
Anything more is excellent and you reach the break even fast.
This assumption leads to 40000 kms in THREE years.

Without removing cannot say but once removed you can check the thickness to conclude on the condition.
