    My bike gets harsh post 4k rpm. Engine oil is just 100kms old. I'm suspecting chain is worn out. But chain kit is hardly 10k old. Any thoughts?

      1. What's your chain maintenance routine?
      2. Slack normal? Any kinks?
      3. Is the chain guide in it's place? It's the black strip on the swingarm near front sprocket.

          1. I clean chain with wd40 n lube with w140 gear oil once in 300kms. Tried chain spray but didn't find it satisfactory as I'm running without chain case.

          2. Slack adjusted 50kms back.

          3. Need to check.


          I can feel lot of vibes on all foot pegs as well. (If that helps to guess)

            Btw, as sibun suggested, i have started using nulon in the oil. 150ml for 1.3l of oil. Added it yesterday. Hope the piston slap reduces..

                  As a suggestion I would recommend you take a look at the TVS manufactured ones. Im using them on the ZMA due to the crash guard, and at sight they seem to be made of better quality than the stock ones, i.e according to me.

                    I mean, your long ride review. Am curious to know what that issue was which made your bike switch off on its own!
                    And coming to oil, i had left my bike there, told the mech 1.1l exactly, and came home as i had work after speaking to you on phone. But when i came back, and asked how much he put, they said 1.3. Krishna was not there. So came back. Was getting burning smell, so thought let it be!

                      Nulon is an oil additive which helps reduce friction and wear and tear of internal parts. Reduces heat. In my case, since i have the piston slap issue, i had to use it. To prevent further damage of parts. I hope it doesn't become severe. Cause ill need a year's time to go for new bore set.
                      Coming to oil, from the last 4-5services, the mech used to put 1.4l of oil. And even i was ok with it cause my bike used to consume oil and after 2k kms of riding, the oil levek would have decreased drastically. This time i insisted on 1.1 as divya had warned me last time, but since i was not in front of him, he put 1.3. Its always a profit to the mech!
                      Will make sure i put 1.1l next time. And due to wear and tear, my drain period has come down to 1000-1500kms

                                I think the xbhp connect app should have the search feature to switch to the desired thread, because there are so many topics that are not shown in the app but abruptly come up when someone gives an update.
