    Divya Da,

Thanks a ton, I will get it fixed this weekend, even the service man that takes care of my bike also told me that.

    • 6th Servising

I am nearing my 6th servicing and Hero services told me it has to be done before I complete my 1 yr (with in 24th Oct). But during that time there will puja back here in West Bengal and there will a lot of traveling and touring, hence I want the bike to be serviced after the puja.

Actually if I miss the 6th servicing, will this void the warranty?? The service guy suggested me to come just 2-3 days before the 1 yr completes and he will do an entry of the servicing and I will be given 15-20 days grace period...

Is this actually possible?? Have any else done this?? Just want to know anyone's point of view...

      Regards.

Dada, its all about building good rapport with the SVC. You can convince them with some sweet talk to give you a week's grace period at least. Even I got my 6th service done in the 13th month in Chennai. And in Chennai, you simply can't budge an adamant person (no offences).
        Got a $5 head? Get a $5 helmet.

              • Replace the words "I have to" with "I choose to" and notice the difference in how you feel.

Hi Dhiraj.. Now I'm also using Mobil1 10w40 oil.. It's a fantastic oil and having already used Motul 300V 10w40, I feel both are at par... Can't really notice any difference b/w two.. Maybe it'll take more experienced n seasoned eyes of a biker.. Even then also, I would rate Motul just a little higher than Mobil1 but it's just my personal one time usage experience... Next time I'll again go for motul and try to notice the difference on accounts such as engine heat, smoothness, life, etc which I previously didn't notice coz I was too busy enjoying my ride.. :-)

Both are near perfect oils... Still I need to switch to motul for one more time to know the difference.. Maybe this time also I won't notice any.. The ride is so smooth I just get lost...
This is one Post which calls for attention and a very important and relevant one for ZMRians.

Though I have not used MOTUL so cannot compare it with MOBIL1 but YES there are some relevant pointers.
                          1. To measure the effect one needs to at least use TWO Oil changes equivalent to 8000 Km.
                          2. This also differs due to the Riding Style, Dynamics & Terrain of the place.
34567 kms and ZMR sold :(

                          • hello zmrians long time
my company admins have blocked xbhp unfortunately , damn it anyways
I am planning to remove Saree guard and chain case
                            my doubt is
will the Saree guard protect the bike side panels from a fall
does it make any other difference apart from safety
how to remove those nuts,I feel its very tight I was not able to loosen it
any special tool is used by svcs for grip is it
                            thanks

                            • Guys, I've been using Mobil1 10w40 for about 2.3 kms now. Planning to do a Bangalore-Chennai-Javadhu Hills-Bangalore ride this weekend.
                              Total distance - ~800-850 kms
                              Do you think
                              1. I can start Saturday evening and return by Sunday night (can't take Monday leave)?
                              2. The oil shall remain good post 3000 kms(frankly I don't have time to change the oil)?

Saturday evening :- Will you be able to ride in Night as it is somewhat difficult to ride in night because of lights coming from front vehicle and low visibility on road on highway. As if you ride in day you can cover 600 - 700 kms in a day easily. If you are comfortable to ride in night then its your call.

                                2. The oil shall remain good post 3000 kms(frankly I don't have time to change the oil)?

No issues your oil will last for your ride.
